"It was excellent. Mold remediation is by it's nature destructive, as material needs to be removed to find and remove the mold. Whenever there was more than one way to accomplish a task, they sought my opinion and did it in a way to minimize the repair. When they were done they left the work area spotless. Other contractors should learn from these people. I hope I never need this sort of work again, but if I did, I would have no problem calling them back to do the work."

"Ceto Builders is a small Reno company. They have a team of external contractors - all who do really good work. This saves trying to find different trades people for different jobs. You know that they will get the right person for the job. The downside is that they are often busy, so there can be delays. Scott at Ceto is all about making sure the job is done correctly. We are remodelling a 2400sq ft condo and have used Ceto for all of it. We have been very happy with the work done and will use them again."

"s a new home owner with intentions to improve the energy efficiency of my older (1961) home, I felt lost. Prioritizing improvements when practically everything needs work is taunting. I found Paul's business on the general internet and he not only provided an excellent, high quality energy audit but orchestrated projects such as attic insulation,  duct sealing, and crawl space improvement. He helped connect me to great painting services and to general contractors in the future. His audit left me with a good knowledge base with which to plan future projects. He is a great service provider and a really nice person too.  <br />"

"They might have been on Angie’s List but we relied on some local people here in town to give us some feedback on certain operations. They did a good job. I liked them. They did not respond as quickly as we would have liked but I guess they were busy so I had to be patient. It ended up being probably ok. Winter was setting in here and we wanted to make sure that we got it done before the winter. The workers were very responsiveness, they liked to work, did not leave messes, very communicating when they had to. There were no complications, not that we discovered yet. In terms of punctuality, they said they were going to be there, they called and were there, just getting them to commit was a little difficult. I would use them again in the future."

FAQs for foundation, basement or crawlspace waterproofing / encapsulation projects in Reno, NV

The most affordable way to waterproof your basement is with interior methods like waterproof paint, costing between $1 and $8 per square foot, or silicate concrete sealers priced at $4 to $6 per square foot. However, these solutions are only suitable for certain issues. If your basement moisture is due to more serious problems like a cracked foundation, you'll need more extensive (and costly) repairs.

Absolutely! Waterproofing your basement is a smart investment that can increase your home's value. By keeping your basement dry and free of moisture problems, you protect your home's structural integrity and make it more appealing to potential buyers. Plus, taking proactive measures now can prevent costly water damage repairs down the line.

The time required to waterproof a basement depends on the selected method. Some approaches to interior waterproofing, like paint or sealant, can be completed within a day. Installing new drains or weeping tiles will need at least two to three days of labor. Any forms of exterior waterproofing that require you to excavate land will require an additional three days of work to prepare the ground.

Yes, basement waterproofing can significantly increase your home's value. A dry, leak-free basement is a strong selling point for potential buyers, enhancing your property's desirability and market price. Investing in professional waterproofing not only protects your home's structural integrity but also ensures a healthier living environment by preventing mold and mildew growth.

Waterproofing both the interior and exterior of your basement offers the best protection against moisture. Exterior waterproofing stops water from penetrating your foundation, while interior methods manage any moisture that does enter. If you must choose one, exterior waterproofing is generally more effective, as it prevents water from reaching your home's interior in the first place.
