"So easy! Super nice people from the first answered call through the final inspection. Jill answered the phone and was competent and friendly. I dealt with her throughout the process and she was always great. Anthony came on time and gave me a quote--he made it all so simple and direct. I am completely satisfied. I even asked them if they offered any other services I could purchase! I wish all contractors performed like they do. NOTE: I had a patio cover installed last year by a DIFFERENT company and they were difficult every step of the way. Despite this, I would have gone back to them this year but they made it so cranky that I felt like I was begging them to take my money. They wouldn't even discuss business unless my husband was there (keep in mind that I was just repeating and order from last year)??? Anyway...go with Perfect Home Products/Patios--you won't be disappointed."

"<p>Cerda Concrete responded quickly to my inquiry for an estimate. I got 2 other estimates from other companies, but I felt Cerda Concrete's bid was within my budget as well as being fair.  We had some difficulty scheduling the job due to weather issues and complications on the job prior to mine.  Once the job was scheduled the company was very punctual in getting to the job site. They also were extremely dedicated to leaving the job site very clean.  They completed the job in a timely manner. It took quite some time for the concrete to cure, but when it finally dried I was somewhat satisfied with the appearance of the concrete. A bracket had to be replaced on one of my posts of my patio cover where the patio was being re-poured. The company said they would have to return to fill in the concrete after the new concrete had cured. It took about 2 months for them to return to fill in some concrete underneath the post. I made 2-3 calls trying to set up a time for them to return to finish the job.</p> <br /> <br />If you use this company you will need to be proactive and keep in constant contact with them. I felt like their communication with the customer needed to improve. <br />"

"Javier and crew were great they met my expectations and more with the amount of work and the time of the year the project took place I can't say enough for what they did. First the crew along with Mr.Lesaca removed two tree stumps by digging around the roots and runners and removing them, temperatures for this time of year is 102 degrees or more. Crew came in a rototilled old dead grass and raked and prepared area as needed then started the transformation with two new trees along with plants that are resistent to this area drought, spread decortive bark on surface as needed and finaly planted green bermuda grass, new sprinklers for grass and new watering system for plants.Javier also included a list of all plants that were installed with pictures of each individual plant. Each time the crew left at the end of the day the work site along with sidewalks and porch area were washed clean no clutter of any kind. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Richgrove, CA

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
