They had to repair a concrete floor in a difficult location that required removing the broken concrete (reinforced with brick!) by hand and up a steep flight of stairs. Some highlights: 1) Mark's proposal was the most reasonable of the three we received. 2) Mark provided some design options and suggested we go to the local stone store to be sure we got what we wanted. We appreciated his suggestions as well as his respect for our choices. 3) Mark's crew was always courteous and thorough. They also cleaned up each day and happily hosed down our neighbor's driveway per his request. 4) A few times throughout the process we had new ideas to which Mark provided his advice and updated cost estimates. For an additional $850 we were able to add more value to the final product. All told, Mark and his team built four retaining walls, installed a patio under our deck, installed a landing pad outside our pool (with the extra pavers from the deck project), installed a paver walkway between our under-deck patio and the pool, regraded the yard, seeded and strawed the yard, and replanted some perennials that were displaced in the regrading. 5) Mark always kept us updated on progress - particularly important in this rainy spring."

"We have used Freestate to periodically trim our trees and always found Ben (owner) to be professional and more than fair in his pricing. When the heavy winds came through Friday a large tree split and a huge brach (more like a small tree - see photo) crashed down on our neighbor's roof, puncturing it. Our neighbor didn't know who to call so I called Ben. He happened to be in our neighborhood dealing with another downed tree and said he'd come over that night; and he did. The crew off-loaded some heavy machinery and promised to be back in the morning. Promise kept. By end of that day (Saturday) the branch was off the roof, the the split tree (a 70 footer) was down and the crew temporarily patched the neighbor's roof. While they were here I asked Ben to take down two other white pines that are notorious for shallow roots and fragile limbs. He did so at a great price. The neighbors and I are extremely satisfied. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"

The first attempt at restoring my patio with replacing the polymeric sand in all the joints didn't go as planned, largely in part of the rainy weather and perhaps some areas where the crew, in my opinion, could have done a better job. The job was paid it full but 2-3 days later, it was quite apparent that the entire job would need to be repeated from scratch. Whereas most other companies, particularly those were already paid in full, would have considered the job "done" and not listened to their client's concerns, Eric and his company DID listen and very promptly returned to the site to determine how to repeat the work with an outcome that was clean, great, and has already received compliments from neighbors and friends.
