"I used Apex to fix a situation where water would leak into my basement through the electrical panel during a long, heavy downpour. It was a particularly unique and difficult problem to solve which involved excavating under part of a flagstone patio, determining the source(s) of the leak and sealing. Their final solution was very thorough and attacked the problem from multiple directions. I was impressed with their dedication to doing the job right. The clean-up was also thorough (the patio looked better after they left than before they started!) The crew was great! They worked hard and knew what they were doing. Since it was such a tricky problem, Lou, the manager, was on-site for most of the day. They also have an excellent electrician on the team which was a definite plus for this project. I used Apex a couple of years ago to renovate the basement and was very pleased with the result of that project as well. They’ve been in the business for many years and are deservedly proud of their reputation for quality work. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again."

"Our boiler was starting to act up so we decided to seek competitive proposals to replace the unit. Clark was one of several that came to provide an estimate. The estimator, Carlos, was very thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful in my understanding what he proposed to do. After evaluating the proposals from competitors, we selected Thomas Clark to do the work. Carlos and his team arrived at the time promised and did an excellent job removing the old unit and installing a new one made by NTI. It is a pleasure to work with a true professional who was very careful throughout the process to ensure its successful completion."

"Do not work with Genevie. Paul, the owner, and Deidra, the manager, are blatantly disrespectful and offensive. Genevie does not value their long term customers, they fail to honor a wait period, they discriminate, and have piss-poor communication. If you are a long term customer, beware because this company does not care about your business. If you are a new customer, do yourself a favor and save your money."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Ridge, MD

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
