I was sold on Universal being a certified CertainTeed product installer. It is a superior product than what is sold in general big box stores such as Home Depot. Day of 2 layers of old shingles removal, inspector Abe showed me the sins of others. The base wood was circa 1938, and needed to go. Not unexpected however they worked with me to arrange a loan to support the extra work estimate. As well my chimney was sadly in need of professional pointing beyond the shoddy patch jobs done by prior owners. "I hired this company to replace my roof dumpster was delivered one day before they started the job. Very hard-working guys, they remove all shingles on a 20 square roof within 2h. unfortunately the plywood was bad and need it to be replaced these guys did something that no company would do it they removed all plywood did framing repair installed 5/8 plywood and charged me only for the cost of plywood.
