He stopped working around 3 pm and said he would come back at 9 am on Saturday; he didn?t arrive until about noon. A storm came up at 2 pm, stopping his work. He waited for a while then said he would come back on Monday. He also left materials and tools on my lawn, which I had to move on Sunday so that I could cut the lawn. Finally, the completed job was done haphazardly; the tops of the pickets are not straight, unlike the original fence. See the attached photo?the section with new pickets (far left) is straight, but the one next to it with old pickets is not; the section on the middle right is not straight, and the section with the new and old pickets (far right) is straight. I had specifically asked him to straighten the tops, and he never did."

Over a month ago CHW sent a repair technician to fix both of my garage doors, the technician made an adjustment on one door and chanced the opener on the other. A week or so ago the second door failed to open. Yes, my door opener is old, but the Warrantee says, if it can’t be fixed it will be replaced. CHW paid the tech $100 and said the rest $200 is on me. Please tell me why I should stay with CHW if I have to pay 2/3rds of the cost to replace the door opener? On a separate issue: Granted I accepted CHW’s offer of a Lowe’s card to replace my dishwasher, because I was unaware of how much dishwashers sell for, it cost me an additional 300. Again, please give me a reason for staying with CHW"

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
