"I call Advanced Plumbing Services to look at one of my rental houses. I have had multiple leaks through the years and wanted an explanation as to how this could be addressed once and for all. John showed up at his scheduled time and explained that my rental home had poly pipe. He explained how he could run all new water lines in the house to eliminate the poly pipes. I was given an estimate of $2,579.  This price included repairing and painting all damaged sheetrock. I called two other companies for the same work. The other companies told me they would not be responsible for the holes that would be cut in the walls and that I would have to find someone to take care of that. Of these two companies the cheapest one was $3200. I called John back and set up the appointment. He and his men showed up on time and completed the job ahead of what he had scheduled. Their wall repairs were flawless. I could not have been happier. It wasn't until the job was done that John explained he had also replaced the line from my meter to the house as well. When John presented me with my bill, I was surprised that it was only $2,279. He did extra work and charged me less. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!   Thanks again to John and his entire crew for an incredible job.

"The service call was placed on 12/10; vendor callled same day but was unable to respond until 12/14. He was prompt and declared the faucet was unreparable.. I asked if he could not try to repair but he said he cold not do that because if it din'fix the problem he could not replace the faucet. He stated that the replacement would not be exact but similar. My faucet had separaate lever for turn on/off but he said the replacement would probably be part of the sprout. We did not really appreciate this but he offered no probable favorable solution.. Not happy with response time but realize a close to weekend call caused this. Did not appreciate not even attempting repair."

"The quote was free. I removed popcorn ceilings from pretty much the whole house. Once I removed the popcorn, I ascended the ceiling down but I needed somebody to give it a coat of mud. Eric Hooks was very kind, very professional and very pleasant. But he told me when I met him that it would be around $1400-$1500 and that didn’t include the material. He called me a week later and he told me that he had misquoted. He quoted me $3500 to do a coat of mud on the ceiling and bind the ceiling. He said it probably needed a couple of coats of mud. Needless to say, the job went to the guy who did it for $750. When they spray popcorn ceiling, basically mud joins it very well. They have to skim the ceilings and they have to use some joint compound to smooth the ceiling out; otherwise the lines will be seen where the joints are. He said $3500; I think they look at me and think that I am a girl and I don’t know how much things cost. I think for $3500; I can get my whole ceiling redone with new drywall for that price. I thought it was very high for 1400 square feet; it’s not a mansion. He had wonderful reviews on Angie’s List and if he had been $1400, I would have considered him. Whoever I hired did it for $750; they did a pretty decent job, and I am happy with it and it was cheap for the job. Probably $1400 I think is what most would quote. I had a quote from somebody else who said they would do it for $1000-$1500. Eric Hooks was very nice and I am sure he would do a great job, but he was really expensive as far as what he quoted me. If he had given me a reasonable price; I am sure it would have been great and he would have done a wonderful job. He was on time and called me back a few days later. Once you find somebody that does a job that’s okay and it’s cheap, you stick with those. Given what he quoted me, I probably would not use him again in the future."
