"Expeditious Pro!!!!! From start to finish, Don replaced my old sump pump and installed a battery-powered backup within 24 hours of my initial contact through homeadvisor. Don and his crew did an excellent job and I felt they delivered great value for a great price. Peace of mind during Spring Showers...Priceless. Thanks Don!!! I will be hiring you again for ALL of my plumbing projects."

"Mike called on Monday morning said he could do it sooner and came right over.  He had to drill out a section under my sink to remove the pipe and the corresponding pipe downstairs.  Quite a section.  He ran out and bought the new pipe and installed it and was gone in a very few hours.  He kept me posted as to what he was doing and I have nothing but nice things to say.  Linda and her Dad have been my plumbers for about 30 years so I only have good things to say about them.  THEY TAKE CARE OF ME!! <br />"

"The workers called my home when they arrived and came in through the outside basement door, as I`d requested (we have animals I needed to put up). They brought in a large, motorized, drain snake and ran quite a bit of it through the clean-out. They pulled out a large quantity of and quot;flushableand quot; wipes, which apparently were the cause of our problem. They weren`t and quot;chattyand quot;, but willing to answer my questions and didn`t complain about me watching some of the process. I asked them to also check another drain we`d had problems with. It was clear, but they noticed part of the drain pipe coming from the ceiling was loose, tending to come apart when handled, so they replaced a connecting piece to keep it together more reliably. They did not charge me for this part at all! <br /> I was very pleased with their work and helpfulness. The price was lower than I had feared and the problem seems to be completely resolved. I`d call them again if needed, and refer them to anyone with a similar problem."

"Well the service and repair went relatively well but the price......Yowza! We had another plumbing company come out recently because we thought it was leaking again. They did the same exact thing but only charged $70.00. Another issue we had is that we had called Jim out a few weeks before for the same problem and he said he thought the problem was the tank on the back and changed some hardware in the tank and charged $200+ for that. Then we noticed it leaking a week later and that is when we called him out again and charged us $400.00 to reset toilet. While here we asked him how much he'd charge to replace our sink disposal and he quoted my wife a price of $450.00!! We have since asked the other plumber for an estimate and they quoted us a price of $250.00. Overall I'm confident that he is a good plumber but WAAAAAY overpriced. <br />"

"I received my radon results in a timely manner. I did not hire them specifically, (so, I cannot say I would hire them again) the local company contracted them for this service. The home inspector I hired, handled this service for me and included the results in his report."

"Lanz was the highest of 4 quotes from local plumbers when I was looking to have multiple plumbing jobs completed, including the purchase and installation of a new water heater. I went with Lanz on the water heater only because they were quick to respond and were able to install it 2 days after my request. The Lanz rep, Ken, was very professional. On installation day, he had a younger guy helping him who seemed to struggle quite a bit and scratched up some furniture while bringing the new water heater in. He also left a large pipe in the yard that I had to dispose of. I chose to go with the least expensive water heater and still paid $1439.21 with Lanz. Others were significantly lower in price, but definitely not as quick to respond or schedule."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Rochester, IL

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
