"I have been having some trouble with my refrigerator for maybe a year now. So I called and spoke to Jose about my ice maker not working. He was very polite as we set up a time within 48 Hours to get it serviced. That morning he arrived and got to work on it. After a diagnostic. He figured it was the water solenoid valve. So Jose had the part for $129.00. So I paid it plus the labor which came out to be about $300. I felt that was a little high but as long as I had ice I will just deal with it. In about a week and a couple of days it broke again. So by this point I am NOT good. I start doing some research on the icemaker itself. So I found it for $90.00. I also found the valve he charged me for between $35 to $75. Which I thought $129.00 was a heck of a mark up. I called Jose and told him what happened and he says that he can get the ice maker and put it in for an additional $129.00. I mention to him that the price was high for both parts. His response was "Well that's what I sell it for. I sure you can find it cheaper somewhere else." That's all I needed to get off my butt and fix it myself. Its purring like a kitten and pumping out tons of ice. This experience has giving me the motive to just fix it myself if I can."
