"The contracting process with SouthEnd Painting was seamless. The sales team and front office were very responsive to all of my questions and especially patient with my (several) last minute changes. They have even helped with providing the colors used several months later, so I could mange some touch-ups required due to light fixture changes - super helpful :) I was happy with the look of the home and have received several compliments on the work. I have already recommended SouthEnd Painting to friends and will use them again in the future."

"Doug came out to review and provide estimate on work.  He worked with us to schedule as quickly as possible knowing we were working to get house on the market for sale, even calling us to pull in the work date when an opening became available.  He and his crew were on time/ early on day of work and did an excellent job.  Every effort was made to keep the repaired areas in colors to blend with existing materials so the repairs are not noticeable.  We were especially impressed with Doug's responsiveness and communication as we scheduled the work.  He has also come out to do a few touch-ups we had not noticed when the original work was done.  We would definitely recommend Courtney Masonry to anyone needing repairs, pressurewashing or new masonry work."

"We own numerous homes and commercial investments and have dealt with many subcontractors :BNM Painting are the best painters we have ever dealt with. They made repairs to vaulted ceilings that had developed shrinkage cracks over time, and cleaned and repainted everything. Mary has a keen eye for needed repairs and paint methods and Brian is a true craftsman ...very professional . I highly recommend these folks for any painting projects you may have.

"excellent service and beautiful paint job.  coupon was 99 dollars for one room, but i needed two rooms and they were bigger than the coupon allowed for (200 feet or something).  i was horrified when the actual bill was going to come to about 550 after the coupon was applied!  but shame on me for not reading the fine print.  i will call them back for other jobs but i will read the fine print from now on.

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Rockwell, NC

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
