"Sunnydale Electric did a great job, they came in installed the required breakers, cable and outlets. Very clean install. They also installed the EV Charger for me, mounting it to the wall and connecting the charging cable. I was able to register it with ChargePoint worked perfectly. I would hire them again"

"We hired Jim to put Everlast siding on our house, after reading positive reviews of Ellington Woodworks. We chose to go with Everlast Advanced Composite Siding for our siding project. When we first saw the j channels and trim on the front of the house, we assumed it was not finished. The edges were roughly cut, and the joints were not mitered; while the Everlast siding, itself, looked fine. We were so unhappy with the appearance and quality of the j channels and corners, that we sent Everlast a letter about it. They were so concerned, they sent a rep to our house, who informed us that it was not their product. They made inquiries and informed us that Jim got two quotes from Richard’s supply: one with Everlast corners and j channels, and one with cheaper, flimsy vinyl. Jim chose the vinyl without consulting us, no doubt to save himself money, in cost of materials. We never had a chance to get the right product for our house. Now, we are left with the inferior product, due to Jim’s decision not to inform. We are left to live with his poor judgement, or pay thousands of dollars, to correct for Jim’s witlessness and ineptitude. We wanted this project to be a one-time home improvement; with improvement being the key word. Instead, we are out several thousands of dollars and years of regret for our choice of Jim and Ellington Woodworks. Speaking of Jim’s ineptitude, he also hung shutters at different heights, leaving us with holes in the siding. All he had to do, was to look at how the other shutters were hung. So now we have additional holes in our siding, again thanks to his lack of basic carpentry skills. If you Google “carpentry skills,” you should see a list of several skills a carpenter should possess to be successful. Of those skills, Jim certainly displayed deficits with regard to Communication, Attention to detail, and Problem solving. He did not miter the window trim, and we are left with the “band aids” to cover up for the corners with the inferior product. He wasted thousands of dollars of our money by choosing an inferior product to mix with the Everlast. We would have gladly paid the difference to have better materials and are left, instead, with something that cannot be undone without paying 10,000 or more, thanks to Jim. He also damaged some corners of our windows, by smashing them, leaving holes open to the elements. He was extremely motivated to leave the project. The only way to correct for the Jim’s incompetence, is to pay thousands of dollars, where we already out of thousands of dollars that we will never recoup. We strongly do not recommend Ellington Woodworks. Our experience with Jim and Ellington Woodworks has left us with botched work, and anger and disappointment."

"Once again we are filled with pride, happiness, and gratitude for the superior work done by Wake Remodeling. This master suite renovation was our second project with them; the first was an award-winning kitchen remodel. And there will likely be additional projects as we have developed trusting relationships with the company owner as well as the crew. They provide detailed estimates and adjust whenever necessary. Work began on the exact day scheduled. There was a minor delay due to the pandemic – completely understandable. They communicate regularly so that we always knew who was coming, when they were coming, and what they were going to do. If there was a day or time inconvenient to us, it was rescheduled. They cleaned up the work area before leaving every day. Clearly, their goal was to ensure our satisfaction at all times. Any and all concerns were immediately addressed. This was a major renovation of the master bedroom, bathroom, and closet that included replacing the bedroom carpet with hardwood floors stained to match the rest of the house; installing wood ceilings in both the bedroom and bathroom; and a complete overhaul of the master bath. Our shower was in bad shape, our tub took up a lot of room and served no purpose as neither of us used it, and the entire bathroom was outdated. The bathroom remodel was designed for aging in place and includes several grab bars strategically located as well as a high-tech toilet with bidet and heated floor tiles. The tub was removed and the shower relocated to that area. Above the tub was a large picture window that was removed and restructured into a transom above the shower that allowed for both light and privacy. That, of course, required brickwork on the outside of the house. Now, we have a large, stunning shower with treated glass, a seat and two showerheads – one is a wand next to the seat. Moving the shower allowed for custom vanities with drawers that are extremely functional being specifically designed to hold hair styling tools and a makeup area for seating. We asked them to accommodate lighted glass sculptures and their cabinet maker designed a tower specifically for this purpose and the electrician set it up so the cords from the light bases were not showing. Once again, we worked with their gifted designer who guided us through all material selections. She offered options and truly helped with the decision process. When it comes to choosing tile, cabinet styles, hardware, and paint colors she has the ability to pull it all together in a way that generates stunning results. Her guidance was priceless! Fresh paint everywhere, new fan and TV mounted in the bedroom…all perfectly done. Wake Remodeling even has a “cleaner” who comes in when all the work is done to ensure everything is spotless! And when we dinged the walls moving the furniture back into the bedroom, the painter returned and touched it up. In the last 30 years, in prior homes, we have done many, many renovations and experienced both good and bad contractors. The Wake Remodeling team has now completed two renovations for us and both have exceeded our expectations. There will more than likely be future projects and they will be the team we call."

"We hired Triangle Renovations recently to repair exterior damage to our house and paint the exterior. Mark and his crew completed the exterior work within two weeks. The work was professionally completed, and the price was very reasonable. Mark's knowledge of building codes and his thorough knowledge of construction techniques gave us confidence that the work would be of high quality. We also requested interior work to remove a popcorn ceiling finish and paint the entire living area and foyer space. Once again, the job was done in a professional and timely manner. We are very satisfied and would highly recommend his services"

"We have trusted My Guys for all of our remodeling needs. Five years ago they replaced our siding with HardiePlank - and if you look at the pictures from this week it looks as good as the day they installed it. They have since replaced all our exterior doors as well as all of the windows in my office. I had some leaking and degraded wood on my door thresholds; Petr did a fantastic job repairing them during the install. Look at the before and after pictures and you'll see why we love and trust My Guys! The old siding was yellow. Our old double window in the office was replaced with a beautiful picture window."

"There were some minor cosmetic things I noticed after construction and just cleaned up myself, but all in all I think I got a very good deck at a great price. I would absolutely use Deck by All Means again."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Wake Forest, NC

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
