"After contacting 6 plumbers I ran across Cherry Hill Plumbers. After discussing the problems with he two faucets, he told me the price to replace the lavatory faucet would be $125. The closest the other plumbers came to was 185.00. After describing the Tub/Shower problem (I already purchased the complete hardware including the Moen PosiTemp system, The owner told me Chances are all we would need was the Trim Kit ($50) and the Moen Trim Kit (All that pretty chrome ($30)), and the labor would be much cheaper. So I had the parts for $80. When the plumber came, he said the Tub/Shower Faucet would either be $90 or $375 depending on what we preferred. I ask why replacing the PosiTemp System was so so much more. He said it had to be soldered into the Copper Piping, after the current attachment was "un-soldered". The Plastic (?fiberglass) surround was about 2 inches from the copper connections. He would have to put Heat Blanket between the Copper pipes and the Surround since any heat would "blister" the surround on the other side. He would have to use Heat Sinks to keep the heat from the Copper from going up into the attic and maybe start a fire. The $85 OPTION WAS AN EASY DECISION. He explained what I could do if and when something needed changed. TOTAL BILL WAS $224.70 FOR 2 & 1/2 HOUR WORK. As an aside, Horizon Plumber charged me $ 425 to replace the faucet in the Kitchen or 20 MINUTES WORK. When I complained, he called his boss and knocked it down to $275. (again 20 MINUTES WORK. Cherry Hill Plumbers? $125. Two of the other Plumbers said they always sent Two plumbers for every job. I noted our bathroom "AINT BIG ENOUGH FOR TWO WORKERS AND ONLY ONE WOULD BE DOING ANY WORK. (One of them wanted $190 per hour, "Oh it is for effcient to send 2" ??? for whom?? Another plumber want over $700, In an emergency, possibly any price would counteract getting a plumber NOW. To Summarize: Hire Cherry Hill Plumbing. Otherwise, For plumbers just like Real Estate, the adage is true. "LET THE BUYER BEWARE""
