"The work was performed between Sept 16-19 2019. Darryl and his crew arrived promptly at 8:30 on Sept 16 as planned. They pressure washed the entire house during the first day and began prepping the exterior wood for painting. They scraped, sanded and caulked the wood. Darryl pointed out several areas of rotted wood in addition to the ones I knew about; he repaired all of them under the original estimate. We chose the paint colors from the Sherwin Williams selection samples. Prep work continued throughout the second day while part of the crew began painting. Painting, prep work and wood repair continued through the third day. The fourth day was only for the final (second) coat in the areas still needing it. The crew was very polite and cleaned up at the end of everyday. They stored their ladders and equipment in a tidy area away from the house everyday. They arrived around 8:30 and worked until 4:00. "I thought the crew of two men were thorough and did what the company promised to do for the cost I expected when I called to make the appointment.    They are not the cheapest company providing the service, but I was impressed by the information I got over the phone on what would be done and why.  They are referred to by several of the HVAC service firms here in town.

I researched the need for duct cleaning on Consumer Reports and other web sites.  Overall there are mixed reviews as to whether professionally cleaned ducts help the interior air..  That being said, some of my neighbors have had it done and liked the results.  They cautioned me that doing the 2nd floor was not necessary as the dust in a home settles DOWN as does construction debris that a contrtactors crew member might find its way into an HVAC duct.    Makes sense to me.

I felt that I wanted to get as clean an interior atmosphere for my severly allergic spouse as is possible, so I opted for the full service, both furnace systems.  If I were to have the cleaning done again in ten or 15 years or after a significant re-hab work inside the home, I would just do the lower floor furnace and air handeling system, shutting down and or closing off the 2nd floor system for the duration of the re-habbing if possible.

"These guys were amazing. They were the first ones to call after I submitted a request on Angie's List, and they came out the same afternoon. They did everything they could to keep the price of the repair down, including calling the furnace manufacturer to see if some of the parts were covered by warranty. Then they were willing to work with me when it ended up costing a bit more than I expected (something that was out of their control.) They lent me a few heaters to put in my kids' rooms overnight since the parts place had closed for the day by the time they knew what they needed. The level of care I received from this company was incredible - not something I expected at all. I'm really happy to have worked with them, and I most definitely will be giving them my business in the future!"
