Rob and crew removed all debris, built new chimney, inspected 30 yr. old chimney shaft and suggested liner(for safety and code compliance) .installed new damper, cleaned up entire area inside and out. great work, very courteous, fair price. "Rivera Concrete Paving's $8,500 bid became $11,000. Owner Magdiel Rivera adds charges after you're committed and doesn't follow through after payment. Cost increases: I mentioned roots upfront - he said equipment could handle it, then charged $450. Said grading unnecessary, then created false urgency claiming we HAD to grade before concrete. Later said could grade after. Added $1,800. Crew broke drainage pipes, charged me $250. Couldn't move AC condenser despite my asking during estimate. Payment tactics: Said pay "when satisfied." Then requested half early, then full payment before done. When I said work incomplete, he asked "Don't you trust me?" then broke promises. Broken promises: Walkway cured wrong, no follow-up. $1,800 grading included 3-month landscaping - no communication. Promised debris cleanup, later said not responsible. Damaged 4-month fence, couldn't repair properly, paid $300 after pressure. Dismisses costs at estimate, adds them later. Makes promises, then excuses."
