"Their roofing crew stole my deer skull from the front of my house and it magically reappeared next to their van on the street after threatening to call the police. While stripping off the old roofing, they let the debris build up on my front bushes causing unrepairable damage. Unless you can speak Spanish you won't be able to communicate with their laborors and there is no boss working with them on site to help bridge the language barrier. They left scraps from their lunch around my front yard, avacado skins and shrimp tails and also cigarette butts, one of them smoked the whole time. The trim and gutters crews were fine but the cleanup after they were all done could have been better they left a decent amount of roofing nails and gutter screws even in plain sight in my driveway. Also had a couple of scheduling issues with material availability the attic insulation installers causing the project to be completed more than a week late. "

"This is a follow-up to my original review written on 8 October 2019. I do not know how to edit/delete my original review on Home Advisor so this is the best I can do. On 23 October I was contacted by phone by Alan and John who are project managers at United Home Experts. They had just read my 8 Oct review and wanted to speak with me about how my issues could be addressed. They apologized for the time delay (which resulted when the incorrect siding was received) and for not replacing the rotted plywood sheathing. In addition to the originally- agreed-upon $300 lowering of the project cost they added $250 to that amount. My credit card was credited with $550 on 25 Oct. I have increased my rating from 3 starts to 5 stars since I am now very impressed by their desire to do whatever they must in order to maintain their historical good reputation. But as I stated in my original review, I still strongly suggest that the homeowner try to be home while the work is being done so as to catch any errors/problems before they occur. But then this is a good suggestion with any contractor, not just United."

"This company completely took advantage of my MIL with high pressure sales. She did not need her roof redone yet they convinced her she needed it and 30k$ later she has a new roof she didn't need or want. You should be ashamed of yourselves."

"I hired Long Roofing Products to replace my roof. From the beginning the sales man lied to me, telling me that they could take off my Gutter Helmets and put them back on correctly. This was lie #1. They have null and voided the warranty of my gutter helmets, because they were not supposed to touch them and according to Gutter Helmets all the roofers know this. lie #2 there were missing pieces on the ends of my gutter helmets to prevent the birds from getting into the gutters. The salesman told me they would order the piece from Gutter Helmets and replace it. This was never done. I have contacted them several times and they continue to tell me they will fix it and they never do. I would NEVER recommend them, I would only tell you NOT to use them. They talk a big game but never follow thru with their promise's."

"NMTI (who we hired as Tru Blue Construction Inc) were superlative. Juan and Ramon were excellent communicators, answering all of our questions in a timely, professional, and endlessly patient fashion. Our project was a big one - our self-managed condo building had a severely leaky roof that needed a full replacement, including redoing a roof deck - and I imagine we were not the easiest clients since we had tons of questions and a lot of "cooks in the kitchen" with different owners and condo trustees weighing in. Juan and Ramon took it all in stride and were incredibly helpful for me in my role as project coordinator. Their team was clean, efficient, effective, respectful, and friendly. They worked both quickly and thoroughly, and were good to always keep me updated as the scope of the work evolved as we found new (but not unexpected or spurious) issues during the demo/rebuild process. Juan was an excellent advocate for us and our project when the city was slow to approve permits/send inspectors. It was a big and intimidating job for us as homeowners, and NMTI/Tru Blue made it feel much less overwhelming.
