Get matched with top electrical wiring or panel upgrade pros in Roxbury, MA

"I had an old light fixture removed that did not have a backbox & cover plate to house the wires correctly and a bedroom ceiling fan that mysteriously stopped working. I read a number of Angie's list reviews and felt that VMA Electric seemed like straight shooters, fully transparent and would be able to solve my issues efficiently. (I knew this job would be T&M rather than pre-quoted as it's impossible to say how long something like this would take). But Nancy in the office was wonderful to work with scheduling the work and she gave me the hourly rates ahead of time so I knew what I was going into. I was fortunate with my timing as they just had a cancellation - so they were onsite the very next morning. They solved both of my issues efficiently, cleaned up after themselves and made the whole process extremely wonderful. If you're reading this saying "I just need an electrician or two to come by and fix a couple of lingering items that I've had on my checklist for awhile" - you've found your company. The invoice/bill for the work was emailed to me the following day and it was exactly in line with expectations (a lot of reviewers are cautious about seeing an invoice after the fact). The pricing was exactly in line with the rates previously given and it was itemized with materials, etc. Anybody would be very happy with this group."

"Highly recommend. He installed our EV charger and also transfer switch so we can use our EV battery to power things in the house during power outage. Very knowledgeable in his field. Very easy to work with. Friendly and respectful. And extremely responsive to my inquiries (even off hours). Will definitely hire him again for other electrical needs. So glad to have found him."

"Brandon responded to my call immediately. He set up a time to meet and his co-worker Will showed up promptly as scheduled. He installed a 4 prong 220 outlet. He is very honest because he saved me $100 by using the existing wire when i thought he would need to run new wire. Both Brandon and Will were very professional and took the time to explain what they were doing. I would recommend Phillips Electrical without hesitation."

"Sedar was extremely professional, he made great suggestions on where to best install the EV charger for minimum wiring. Did a very clean job in a very short time. He also replaced a regular outlet and adjusted floodlights at no charge. Will definitely hire him for future electric work and highly recommend him,"

"We had a serious issue apparently caused by a bad connection in our wiring. Lights were dimming, flickering and several appliances had failed. Dan came by on time the next day. ( I had contacted him around 4:00 PM the previous day). He investigated the problem thoroughly, and so far the issue has not returned. If it does, I will call him again. This type of problem sometimes is not a black and white issue, but he spent a good deal of time and checked everything. His charge was very reasonable considering the time he spent."

"Avdulla came to my house the same day that I called him to discuss the job. He looked at the old outlets and wiring, gave me a quote that I thought was reasonable and got to work on the next business day. He replaced the old outlet boxes with larger boxes, he replaced the old BX wiring with Romex (on 2 new circuits) and he replaced the 2-prong outlets with new 3-prong outlets. He finished the job in two days. I was very satisfied with the results."

"We hired Chris to help prepare our kitchen for an electric range, which required a new high-voltage outlet connected to the electrical panel in the basement. He was responsive, clear, and gave a transparent estimate immediately. On the day of the job, he was punctual and thorough, and completed the task before the estimated timeframe with high quality work and clear explanations. He also fit in time to move an outlet for a dishwasher, which we had not previously know we would need, and kept the final total close to the original estimate including the new project. We would certainly use Chris again for electrician needs at our home, and appreciate his expertise."

"Hassett was professional throughout the process. The electrician provided excellent customer service, and he completed a complicated job efficiently. Hassett will be my first call when I need an electrician again."

"We hired niall to finish a kitchen and bath for us that someone else had started and not completed. Not only did he finish the job with haste, but we were really impressed with his knowledge and workmanship about electrical. He answered all our questions and made us feel confident that we made the right choice in choosing to work with him. I would highly recommend niall to anyone who is looking to get electrical work done."
