"WOW. <br /> I thought my 30 year old redwood deck wasn't salvageable, but Rupert convinced me to do so.  He was very prompt & reliable & knowledgeable and everything went as planned.    A real pleasure to work with, especially if you prefer texting over e-mails!! <br /> I thought it was going to need replacement, a cost of $20,000 using a wood/plastic composite.  I am glad I didn't spend all that money- I would have had a plastic deck (Trex )that would scratch/warp/stain/turn to plastic-dust ( according to reviews at http://www.consumeraffairs.com/homeowners/trex_composite_decking.html)  <br /> Instead, I have a sturdy splinter free redwood deck and $18,000 still in my pocket.  Environmentally I saved as well, by 'fixing & reusing rather than buying/manufacturing plastics that would end up un-decomposed in a landfill one day. <br /> If you want a facelift on your old deck- Summit Deck Doctors is the way to go. <br /> If you think your deck is dying and needs to be buried & replaced, don't do so without asking Summit Deck Doctors to resuscitate it. <br />"

Brian is hardworking, very honest and knowledgeable in his profession. He and his assistant built an amazing, high-quality deck. They were fast, considerate of our property, and their attention to fine details and willingness to meet our desired results were so good. They also left job site ( our backyard) very clean during work and after completion."

"They did a good job cleaning and repairing leaking areas on the gutters using leaf blowers and water pressure. When done I was shown pictures of nails that had pulled away from the gutters and roof. I suspect that the leaf blower and water pressure probably contributed to that or was the direct cause. They offered to hammer the nails back in for $160 but I felt that should have been part of the service and declined. I suppose I'll have to do it myself, though at 71 it's kind of risky. I'm thankful for the work they did and the clean up afterwords."

"The owner initially came to my home to assess the work I needed to have done. He is very knowledgeable about landscaping. The time he spent upfront was greatly appreciated as he fully understood to my landscaping needs. He had great ideas on how to replant a tree, recommend how to control grubs and how to properly care for specific plants. Once the project began the owner was no longer involved. In fact, I never saw him again. In addition to his landscaping services I had him give me a bid for painting my new fence and yard fence. The painting itself was very nicely done however, the worker(s) were careless and left several oil based paint spots damaging 15-20 of my brand new pavers. When I addressed this with The Owner he replied via email his worker(s) told him they didn’t do it. I provided pictures of the pavers as proof to substantiate my claim. The Owner had his lead come by our home to fix a sprinkler head that was covered during sod repair and to remove these stains. When I reached out to The Owner again he solely relied upon his lead who promptly told him the oil based paint stains were removed. The stains still remain, I’ve contacted my pavers company who clearly stated “oil based paint cannot be removed!” It became blatantly obvious the owner was siding with employee. In fact, The Owner not once has stepped foot on my property since he took the bid. He never came to oversee the project and all contact with him has been via email or text. Lastly, we were in agreement to plant a new tree. As of this review, I have never heard back and there was never any follow up as to when this would be done. I really had high hopes In the beginning and I am very disappointed in The Owner’s project management. He appears to be knowledgeable but my recommendation is that he needs to manage his team, stay closer to the project and make an attempt to do a final walk through. Lastly his hourly bill rate was inconsistent vs. negotiated. Hourly rate doubled for final day of painting which I regretfully paid."
