I was told by a different contractor who fixed some gutters, that I needed to have someone who knew how to fix flat roofs inspect my flat porch roof. After asking around, several people highly recommended contacting William Mackay. Brittany quickly scheduled for a technician to come out -- and the same day Mr. Mackay inspected my roof and emailed me the proposal. He answered all my questions (as did Brittany!) The work was scheduled quickly - and the installers/technicians completed the work in one day. Everything was cleaned up (old roof pieces, etc) afterwards. I was a bit wary about having anything done to my home with COVID-19 -- but everyone really seemed aware of social distancing. "My husband contacted the insurance company for the claim and inspection. My husbands co-worker recommended EA Roofing and Siding. They had nothing but praise for EA Roofing and Siding.
 We called and spoke with TJ with EA Roofing and Siding  and gave him the inspectors name and number. He coordinated with  inspector. The insurance claim was approved.  The work required three separate teams of expertise which was efficiently coordinated by TJ.  
 
The roofing materials were ordered and delivered within the week of the insurance companies approval. TJ was experienced working with the insurance companies process and payment policy. The roofing workers were scheduled the next week. They showed up at 9 AM as scheduled and worked thru the day until almost 9 PM and the roof was completed. The removal of the old roof is very messy but the property was spotless when the crew left.
 The next order was for the shutter replacement and siding repair. The workers showed up on time and work was completed and again property left neat.
The next order was for interior painting and again the crew showed up at time we were told and completed the work within the day and departed with the property clean.
 We had never had to have this size of a project done before, so you are little apprehensive but working with TJ's professionalism, organizational and communication skills effected a professional, efficient and quality of workmanship. A job well done and to be proud of.

"The company showed up on time and conducted the shingle replacement being careful not to damage the gardens around the house. They brought the roof up to current code, (the roof no longer complied with local codes), and worked with our chimney company to install the flashing properly. The cleanup was performed in an acceptable manner and the work was finished on time. Follow-up inspections by the company and I showed I had a good roof that was going to last another long time. "Hammer and Nail contacted me within 10 minutes of my submission of an online request  for information. That right off the bat impressed me as two other contractors I contacted prior to Hammer and Nail never contacted me back even after I left them voice messages. Hammer and Nails sales rep Nikos came to my home and showed and explained to me all of my product choices and then spent a significant amount of time measuring and remeasuring the monster size door to be replaced.  Prior to my door order being submitted, another Hammer and Nail employee came to re-measure and confirm the original measurements. Due to the size of the door (and double screen doors) and transom it was pretty much a custom built door and it did take about 6 weeks for the door to be delivered from the Marvin factory but I was informed by Nikos that that would be the case and I had no objections to the time frame. Once the door arrived, the construction staff quickly scheduled installation. James and his install crews showed up exactly on time. James and his crew were very courteous and took great measures to protect my floors before demolition of the existing door. The guys did an excellent job of installing the new doors and transom. James himself made sure that the screen doors latched properly and that the doors were aligned perfectly. The crew used spray float insulation instead of cramming in little pieces of fiberglass insulation. The crew did a great job caulking the walls inside and out and cleaned up after themselves before they left. I am so pleased by this experience with Hammer and Nail that I will be calling them in the near future to replace my basement door.
