"Jeff(owner) and his team at Capital are some of the nicest, most responsive contractors I have worked with. They are easy to work with throughout the project and have always given me an honest and fair assessment of my situation or question. My first interaction with Jeff and his team goes back to 2008 and there is a reason I still keep a copy of their business card handy. Throughout the years they have come out to check for hail damage and do a roof assessment multiple times, replaced a roof due to hail damage, helped me with adding some gutters, and answered all my questions and concerns. Have you ever asked a roofing contractor come to your house to check for hail damage, and they tell you that they really didn't find any damage? If you have ever had to deal with any of those "storm chasing" contractors you might find this unbelievable, but that's what happened with Jeff's team. We eventually had them replace the roof due a separate subsequent storm with damage, but I really appreciated their honest feedback and perspective. Each time we have used them they have given a fair estimate, and come through with exactly what was promised for the project expectations, timeframe, and clean up. "This company is very easy to work with. Our first interaction was with Tyler, the consultant, who brought samples to our meeting. He described the different options, explained the benefits of each, and was knowledgeable about best practices about roof installation, ventilation, and energy efficiency. He submitted 3 proposals for different options within a week. After our selection and down payment, Edgar, the project manager contacted us and told us when the project would start. The install crew deserve a special shout-out - these guys installed our metal roof on the hottest week in July. They were diligent and showed up early to the job site. He worked well with our insurance adjuster and guided us through the project. Legacy did a nice job calling us ahead of time so that we were prepared for the project. "I was in a rather unique situation in that my insurance company told me that I had to get a new root, at my expense, or they would no longer cover our home. The roof was 25 years old but we had no problems with it. Needless to say, it was an unexpected expense during times with things are financially getting harder. Thus, I asked around, relying on word of mouth, for about a month and found a few so-called contractors who said that they would do the job, but unfortunately, the way they conducted their business destroyed my confidence. From the beginning Mike was very professional and did everything that he said he would do when he said he would do it. Mike came out to my home for an estimate the first day I called. I told him of the other quotes I had received and he offered a very competitive price. The quote was for 3-tab asphalt shingles, due to the fact that I was trying to get the job done for the least amount of money, without compromising my home. He offered to due lifetime architectural shingles for an extra $100. I signed the contract on that deal because I realized how good a deal it was for the total price being charged. When the workers showed up they arrived before 7:00 am and were done around 5:00 pm.  They were fast, focused and personal. They cleaned up well, spared the flowers and shrubs, picked up all the nails and cleaned up as if they were never there. I was really pleased to have such a great job done at such a  low price. Everyone I talk , who knows about roofing cost, said I got a great deal.
