"We could not have been happier with Mike and his entire team! Before the remodel, we read a lot about how remodels are almost always over budget and/or don't finish on time. This project was on time, on budget, and we are thrilled with the results. Mike is very responsive when we had questions, kept us up to date on progress, and was ready with options if a problem would arise. Mike's team found some structural issues in the breezeway remodel that were not apparent before demolition and when he contacted me with the bad news, he already had several options, estimated costs, and had consulted with the city inspector to ensure the options would work. He was on top of things throughout the remodel. Mike is very professional himself, and he has a great group of people working with him. They did a good job keeping the space clean at the end of the day, respecting our living space, and paying attention to quality workmanship. His pricing was comparable to the other contractors that provided bids, but he really put in the up-front work to ensure the project would go smoothly, and it did. Once it was all said and done, I couldn't have been happier with the result and the overall process. I would definitely hire Mike again, and I have already recommended him to several friends for their projects."

He oversaw several subcontractors including ceiling work, framing/structural work, installation of ceramic tile, plumbing. I brought in my own HVAC subcontractor. He did electrical work and finish carpentry. He and his twin brother did the IKEA cabinet mounting and base cabinet framing with an eye to precision and accuracy; he also framed out our pantry project to a high level of finish and recommended dimensions for pantry doors for a good final design. He was quick to fix a couple of minor edits (outlet placement, drawer functionality with base cabinet infrastructure) to ensure we were happy with the final results. He showed a strong aesthetic eye for the finish, providing important suggestions, and volunteering extra touches that made the kitchen look cohesive. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."
