"To help us meet our budgetary goals on this project, he worked with us on a custom design with IKEA cabinets and several of our own purchased appliances. He oversaw several subcontractors including ceiling work, framing/structural work, installation of ceramic tile, plumbing. I brought in my own HVAC subcontractor. He did electrical work and finish carpentry. He and his twin brother did the IKEA cabinet mounting and base cabinet framing with an eye to precision and accuracy; he also framed out our pantry project to a high level of finish and recommended dimensions for pantry doors for a good final design. He was quick to fix a couple of minor edits (outlet placement, drawer functionality with base cabinet infrastructure) to ensure we were happy with the final results. He showed a strong aesthetic eye for the finish, providing important suggestions, and volunteering extra touches that made the kitchen look cohesive. "It went extremely well. We contacted Steve, after we had other estimates. Steve is an extremely easy to work with. He gave us many great suggestions on what we could do after listening to our ideas. Some of the great suggestions by Steve were 1) center the range that we shifted to the right -see pictures, 2) add a trash can drawer instead of having a trash can outside, 3) add new carbinetry on the dining area facing the range and microwave- see picture. All this was beside some custom made cabinets that he built according to our specs. Remodeling a kitchen (as I learned it) takes a long time with many phases that include demolition, cabinet installation, countertop selection, cabinet stain type and color, countertop selection etc. We were guided by Steve step by step. He was so patient answering our questions, directing us to the next step and giving us head-ups on what is coming next. One last thing to mention, after the project was completed, we realized that there were a couple of minor issues. One of the cabinets next to the microwave and the microwave doors don't fully open (This was Microwave installation issue which was done after the cabinet installed). The second issue was about the trash can drawer where the base broke. I contacted Steve who assured me that his crew would come and fix anything that was done to our satisfaction. The same friendly crew came and took care of every thing. We are extremely happy and satisfied...Thanks, Steve!"

"Roger made and installed new cabinets in our kitchen. The cabinets are beautiful. I called him and we met that week to discuss what I was looking for. We discussed and set a price that night. He then gave me a time line of about 6 weeks. I was remodeling my entire kitchen so I had other people lined up to complete other portions of the kitchen. He called and delayed the arrival of the cabinets twice - this caused me to have to reschedule the other people I had coming twice. The total delay was just over a month. He did always return my phone calls, the one month remodel turned into three months without a ktichen."

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"Sears' package of services allowed me to worry very little because they coordinated all the trades. Sears has a longstanding reputation for standing behind their products, something I had not found to be true with other contractors I had used in the past. Thecarpenter/job coordinator who did the refacing work was wonderful to work with, making minor modifiations as necessary to fit my needs.  I had not originally intended to purchase new appliances, but Sears offered me such a great discount that I added a new cooktop, double ovens (which required some cabinet modifications), and a dishwasher, which were installed by the carpenter.  He also coordinated the quartz countertop and flooring installations. All of the work Sears did was well done and professional. After the job was completed, I noticed that a door in the den that had to be cut off to accommodate the new flooring was a bit rough, and they sent the carpenter back to fix it within a week. I was somewhat concerned that I would not like the laminate used to reface the wood cabinets, but it has turned out to be very attractive, more durable than wood, and easy to clean.  No one can even find the seams in the quartz countertop or the Congoleum flooring, so I feel that their workmen are very experienced and skilled. I not only would recommend Sears to others, I would use them again for other work."
