They weren’t our cheapest option but their unique cost-plus process of contracting, clear & transparent labor rates and discounts saved us thousands on our projects. We have never seen a company operate in this manner, but it just made complete sense to us, and it works extremely well. Along the way we were a bit indecisive and made a few changes which added work to the original scope, increased our budget and timeline, however Douglas immediately shifted into another gear and was able to incorporate our changes within the original design. He is extremely honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable of his trade. His communication skills and integrity were second to none. I don’t know how he handles all the stress, but he makes it look easy. "We went with KLH after interviewing multiple general contractors and are so glad we did. After hearing of all these horror stories from friends & family about the companies they hired, I wasn't expecting much but Ken really does mean it when he says he always takes care of his customers. To start, we hired him for a kitchen remodel. But soon after we had a separate emergency involving a big leak from a hard rain in the basement and I reached out to him as I had no one else to call. The next morning he was on the side of my house with a tarp and sealant! He ended up having his crew do multiple things to the side of the house to get us back to bone dry and it was really nice to have someone as determined as us to get the leak 100% resolved. On top of that, he would catch issues we didn't even notice and the ones we did notice he had resolved quickly. Him and his guys also had some great recommendations for our Kitchen and it turned out gorgeous. We had our first party with the new kitchen and received so many compliments!
