The leak, which was coming from a water pipe leak in the wall right next to the water heater and should have been seen when they were inspecting for the leak because the dry wall was visibly soggy and water logged, was “discovered” after the water heater was installed. It has taken weeks for a competent repair company to dry the walls and floors. While Simpson said the water heater was leaking, it was only five years old and I question whether it really was needed. Too late now to do anything but take their word, but I am suspicious. And I feel their charge for installation was excessive. L"
