One company said they would only recommend replacing with new carpet and a second company gave me a ridiculously high estimate for the work. Jacobs Construction quoted a fair price, which went up a bit when they pulled up the carpet and saw just how bad the floors were. The final cost was far below the other quote. The work was done in just two days, and the floors are beautiful!"

"Having hosted the HGTV program “My House is Your House”, we’ve worked with and vetted many cabinet builders across San Diego and Southern California. I cannot understate enough how much of a mistake it was to choose Mr Cabinet Care for our kitchen cabinets on an Encinitas project. We are extremely disappointed with our experience with Mr Cabinet Care. We arranged & purchased custom cabinet drawer fronts that were supposed to be high-quality, but they arrived with noticeable gaps. the gaps were problematic for two reasons: 1. for the drawers / doors that closed incorrectly and 2. for being prone to collecting food debris (and unable to clean or remove that debris). When I contacted the company about this clear defect (the food /gap error), they completely dismissed my concerns, blaming “care and maintenance” instead of acknowledging the poor workmanship. Even worse, they provided doctored photos in an attempt to shift the blame, falsely suggesting that residue such as gum or putty had been left on the drawers. Not only was this completely untrue—no such residue existed in any of the photos we originally provided, nor in any additional photos we took. Falsifying evidence to avoid responsibility is not just dishonest; it’s unethical and gives us even greater concern over other claims they’ve made in workmanship or materials. The operations manager even said “The material you selected, White Oak Select, is naturally prone to expansion and contraction due to environmental factors such as heat and humidity. Upon reviewing the photos taken by the technician, it appears that the issues you are experiencing are likely related to care and maintenance, rather than any manufacturing defect.” These were installed weeks prior to our notice, not years later, and during a cool weather season. To claim extreme weather (like heat & humidity) in San diego is laughable and outrageous. Under California law, products like these are covered by warranties ensuring they are fit for their intended purpose. These drawer fronts clearly do not meet that standard, yet the company refused to honor its obligations. Instead of standing behind their product, they chose to manipulate the situation to avoid accountability. Beware if you work with them and have future warranty issues, youre going to likely run into similar defenses and accusations. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this company. If they are willing to misrepresent facts and dismiss valid concerns, I can only imagine how they handle other customer complaints. We regret this purchase for our client and would never recommend them to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship or honest customer service. We will not be using them for any future HGTV projects nor recommending them to other clients or customers"

"We purchased our home knowing it would need extensive remodels, and we were admittedly nervous after hearing so many horror stories about planning hold-ups and unreliable contractors. We did our homework, researched over 8 companies, and met with 5. The moment we met Moshe, we knew he was the right person for us. He always had a team on site, and they worked tirelessly through what was no small project: three bathrooms, moving the laundry room, relocating the kitchen, laundry and 2 bedrooms, installing new structural supports, moving multiple windows, moving a slider door and so much more. We even made changes along the way, and he accommodated seamlessly. Incredibly, all of this was completed in just three months, fully permitted and signed off by the city. The quality speaks for itself. Every wall, cabinet, and tile is perfectly placed. During our walkthrough, we nitpicked small things, but Moshe was already ahead of us, pointing them out himself and immediately bringing in his team to perfect the final touches. He also gave us the “Moshe Guarantee”: if anything comes up in the months or years ahead, just call and he’ll send someone out. That level of pride and accountability is rare. What impressed us just as much was the caliber of his entire team. Every single person Moshe brought onto our property was kind, respectful, and excellent at their craft, from Miguel the electrician to Victor, who built out our wardrobe, hung shutters, and took care of countless details. It was clear that Moshe surrounds himself with true professionals. I truly cannot recommend Moshe and Construction Masters highly enough. They turned a daunting remodel into a smooth, exciting process, and the results exceeded our expectations. We will only ever use Construction Masters in the future, and we recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking for quality work and peace of mind."
