"Frontpoint is very easy to use... it's one of the only DIY services out there. You can install all the sensors yourself (they are all wireless). You stick them where they need to go with very clear instructions, and if you do need help Frontpoint support is excellent. You always get someone on the phone, and they are always happy to walk you through any issues you're having. I've had issues a few different times with dead batteries in a sensor, or misplacement of a sensor causing issues, and in all cases they've resolved the issues quickly over the phone. Because of this, I can manage the system myself (and that's pretty much installation upfront, updating equipment every few years/as needed, and support very rarely). We've yet to have a breakin or anything like that, but we've had several false alarms where my wife accidentally set the alarm off... and in those cases, Frontpoint calls you immediately, asks you for a password, and then asks if you need assistance. Of course we don't, but if they can't reach you... which has also happened... they call the next person on the list (my wife). If they can't reach that person, the cops are already on their way while Frontpoint works down the list of family members, neighbors, etc. to let them know there is an incident at the house and the cops are on their way. This has happened a couple times (due to user error). But it's good to know they have our backs if there is ever a real issue. A+ for Frontpoint."

I had used his services in the past when I worked at a small business so he was at the top of my list when I needed help with my Mac systems and network at home. He optimized settings for MacOS, installed remote backup (BackBlaze, not just iCloud) on a few computers, installed other security software (in addition to my Norton suite), and made sure it was all working right. We also discussed next steps for home automation."

"I can't say enough about David and ADC. I wanted to install a Ring system and was up late one night looking for an installer. I read about a few on HA and contacted them, expecting to hear back the next day. Surprisingly within a half hour, David texted me. I asked if he could find some time to come by to give me his viewpoint on Ring and if it would work for me. He showed up on time and was just great. I hadn't contracted him for work, yet he gave me some excellent advice on the Ring system, my camera placement, and even offered up info on how to extend my wifi so that it would reach all of the cameras. Nothing felt like an upsell. He never spoke of equipment costs, or even his rate, until the end. Just seemed happy to help me with my questions regardless if I was using him for the install or not. Then left it at that. I was impressed with him and knew I would hire him for the install but still decided to follow through on the other appointments any. They didn't change my mind. Once I got all the equipment, including setting up Google Wifi for wifi extension throughout the house, I contacted him for an install appointment. David showed up on time and had another David assisting him with the install. Our doorbell install was a bit troubling. We have an older electronic doorbell that we really wanted to keep using--it plays Hava Nagila! David pointed out, though, that the architecture of the Ring doorbell doesn't always play nice with the type that we have. He wasn't sure we'd be able to continue using it. Knowing how much we wanted to keep it, he went the extra mile to figure out the electronics involved to make that happen. We really appreciated the extra effort. It did change some of our equipment plans though, but David totally took the time out to get the extra parts we needed, and even kept that extra time off the final bill! I would have gladly paid for that. As far as the install, I work in the music industry and have seen my share of studio cabling. ADC's install was top notch! It was very clean, leaving as little cable exposed as possible, and David was very creative in figuring out exactly the best placement for the camera, as well as the best routing for the cable. He really took his time and I was very impressed with his artistry. I get it, and appreciate it. System is installed and David took the time to show me how to work the Ring App and set the viewing angle of the cameras. I'm very happy with the system and extremely happy to have found ADC."
