"I had Paramount come out to give me an estimate on refurbishing my empty swimming pool. It had been leaking water and we emptied it 2 years ago so it was time to either fix it or fill it in.

The estimator/sales guy came exactly on time, discussed the process and the issues he could see and emailed me an estimate later in the day. The only fly in the ointment for this part of the process is that I wrote back and asked him what kind of things typically drove up the price of this type of project (originally slated to be a re-tile and re-plaster job) and he didn't have any. I think he could have but more on that later.

The workers showed up exactly when scheduled and got right to work. They found that much of the plaster had lifted away from the gunnite and they really had to take it all down. They also found about 3 times as many structural cracks as estimated but that had been left open so that was okay. I was disappointed to be hit with the new charge of stripping the pool but Jorge cut me a really generous deal for the cost of the stripping and the extra cracks and I'm pretty sure I got the better end of the bargain. They also found that there were cracks in the corners of the pool and they applied extra rebar and concrete to those areas. They did not charge me more money for those repairs.

The job started on 7/20 and by 7/29 water was flowing into the pool again and it looks great. The crew did a good job of cleaning up and I'm quite pleased with the outcome. I recommend Paramount without hesitation."

Once the leak issue was resolved I decided to give the pool a different look. Pablo and team returned and did a phenomenal job. "I never give a 100% review to any company because nothing and no one is ever perfect but in this case I would go so far as to give 97%. The end result was great and they made my pool look brand new. 100% kudos to the worker who gingerly cut away from the tiles I wanted to keep. His attention to detail was amazing and he did most of it on his belly, on the hottest day of the summer. In hindsight I feel guilty and should have just gutted the entire thing and chosen new tile. I apologize to them for my fool hearty choice. That said it was a job beautifully done. I decided to add a safety handle by the steps into the pool, since our friends are getting older and need something to hold onto while entering and exiting the pool. Completion of this took longer than hoped for, presumably due to unavailability, but once received and installed it was done well. The team worked well together and I think they did a reasonable job with daily clean up. Other than the safety bar installation, the job was completed in a timely fashion and the project manager, James, was a good and timely communicator, something very important in my opinion. We waited too long to address this resurfacing job and considering that we didn’t commit until late in the pool season, mid summer, we were pleased that the job was done relatively fast so we still got some swim time in. Looking forward to summer 2025 to reap the reward of the teams hard work. I would not hesitate to hire James and his team again. If you hire them I hope you have the same good experience."
