The statement of work should specify how the area should be prepped for construction/painting, what constitutes a finished project (e.g., baseboards included or not, what will be painted), and how the area will be restored. Our main issue was lack of proper construction/paint dust mitigation and covering floors/walls/ceiling/furniture with the right materials. He caused damage to the flooring (carpets and wood), baseboards, and one of the sprinkler heads. The latter being at least $1200 to repair. He tried to clean, but it was too much. So he wrote off the unpaid balance to help reimburse us. "

"BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT USE THIS VENDOR! I was duped by this company! Told me the installation of my single front iron door would be $255/hr for 1 hr possible 2 hours for 2 people. This install was 7 hours for each person or 14 hours which cost me over $1300 to install 1 door. The door was already prehung. The 2 men were walking around wasting time, pretending to look for parts such as door handles which were right in front of them in the box. This is deceptive, false advertising, and will be reported to the BBB. They didn’t even get my confirmation/approval for additional hours or work! I will NEVER use their services again. Duped!"

"My house caught fire on March 15, 2025. Jereme Lyons of Amigos Construction was hired for a full home rehab, paid through Homesite (Progressive) homeowners insurance. Contracts were signed detailing all repairs with a completion date of 8/31/25. The home became occupiable on 9/1/25, but Jereme stopped working and left it unfinished. His last contact was 9/19/25, and he?s ignored all calls, texts, and emails since. Despite being fully paid, he failed to complete the contracted work. Without permission, he tore out our side porch, leaving exposed rebar, a water line, and debris, creating safety hazards. The backyard is full of garbage, and the microwave hood was never vented properly. We also paid out of pocket for a shower door, grill vents, and butcher blocks he never installed, leaving our home unsafe and incomplete."
