"JD Appliance Repair, tech -John, came out to repair my parents’ laundry machines (both washer and dryer). He came on time, on a Sunday due to an urgent request on Saturday, and he was able to give a diagnosis immediately and estimate, and repaired them on the spot upon request with a reasonable price for the work. John is knowledgeable , courteous, professional, and I highly recommend this company, and we will definitely ask for this company again if we need any repairs in the future and will recommend him to our families and friends, and to everyone. "I had LimeBricks come in to replace my old cooktop with a new GE profile cooktop. Angel was able to come in the same day and take care of it. My new cooktop was slightly bigger so the countertop opening had to be modified a bit and Angel was able to take care of that as well. Great service and great price. Highly recommended. "

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in San Bruno, CA

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
