"Today I had Coit out to evaluate my air duct system with a new service they offer called aero seal. My home was built in 1986 and I wanted to see if I could perhaps improve the efficiency of our home, especially with the latest SRP rate increase. Rick and Wyattdid a great job explaining the testing process, and once the system was set up and connected to the computer program, we found our system was leaking 5.5 % into our atic. After the aeroseal process, they got that number down to 0.6 %! An 88.7 % improvement. I'm so happy I had this done, and I'm quite certain it will help mitigate any cooling loss in the summer. The crew was an absolute pleasure to work with and super professional. Even my crazy dog liked them!Thank you both so very much."

"About 9 months ago we tested for radon in our new house and the level was 5 pCi/L. The FDA says anything over 4.0 should be mitigated, and the WHO says anything over 2.7 should be mitigated due to the cancer risk from radon exposure. We called AZ Foundation Solutions and their engineers reviewed our floor plans designed a mitigation system which they installed. We waited about 9 months for the system to do its job and then retested. We were very happy to see the results. In the two rooms we tested, one was 0.7 and the other was 1.0, well below acceptable levels. The AZ Foundation Solutions system really works! We had one communication problem but the company addressed it."

"We specifically requested Keith Cook as our inspector because he inspected a friend's home and had a high degree of attention to detail. I'm happy to report that he didn't let us down when conducting our inspection. He arrived early and began inspecting the exterior. He climbed onto the roof and even into the attic! He didn't miss a thing...no even loose or missing screws on household fixtures. Keith knows his stuff and takes the time to explain it to you. He's funny and very efficient...our inspection report was emailed less than 8 hrs after completion of the inspection. Additionally, a member of the company called me to report the results of the radon test immediately upon completion. This is an A+ company and Keith rocks!"

"We ended up working with Tim on three different occasions during our house hunt, so we feel more than qualified to rate the service. After our first inspection with Tim, we saw how professional and thorough he was as an inspector. The first and second home we put an offer in on, turned out to be complete money pits with tens of thousands of dollars of hidden issues. <br> <br>Tim was able to identify and bring to our attention issues ranging from pipping, air conditioning units, roofing, leaks, pest control, etc. The issues Tim uncovered ranged from major to minor ones and even some helpful tips on avoiding hazards and issues to monitor to prevent them from getting bigger. <br> <br>Availability to get the service done was fantastic with Tim and he offers more than just a basic home inspection. The basic home inspection runs around $305.00 USD and depending on your needs or situation you may want to do the add ons like termite, pool/spa or radon (but those are an additional cost; however we did receive some discounts for being repeat customers). We do recommend doing the radon inspection before buying, especially when you are buying a vacant property where the numbers will be most accurate. <br> <br>We received reports the same day, so very quick turn around and Tim is always available and able to provide clarification and answers to any questions you might have. Reports were easy to read with great formatting and pictures. <br> <br>Tim has been a wealth of information in our house hunt and has saved us from getting stuck with the wrong home, we are sure glad we found such an amazing house inspector! We would definitely use 1st Priority Inspectors again - in fact, we did, 3 times in total! <br>"

FAQs for radon gas testing projects in San Manuel, AZ

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. The gas seeps through cracks in foundations and collects in basements and other low areas. Once you breathe it in, radioactive particles lodge in lung tissue and do long-term damage. Because you can’t see or smell radon, the EPA recommends testing your home every two years—and after major renovations—to keep your family safe.

Yes—every home should be tested. The EPA advises doing it at least every two years and any time you remodel, buy, or sell. On average, one in 15 houses nationwide sits above the recommended limit, and the only way to know where yours stands is a formal test. The equipment simply measures gas levels and won’t change your indoor environment, so the process is completely harmless.

Certified radon professionals—often home inspectors or dedicated radon mitigation contractors—handle testing. These radon testing professionals follow EPA protocols and use calibrated instruments to check levels throughout your house. Hiring a certified radon specialist means results you can trust for real estate deals, insurance requirements, and, most importantly, your family’s health.

Inspectors specialize in measuring radon gas levels, while licensed mitigation contractors design and install the systems that remove it. If your test comes back high, your inspector can point you to a qualified mitigation pro who will size and install the right fan, piping, or other equipment to bring levels down.

No—standard home air purifiers don’t touch radon. They’re built to trap dust and pollen, not radioactive gas. If testing shows high levels, you’ll need a dedicated mitigation system that vents the gas from beneath your home to the outdoors. Relying on a room purifier alone won’t keep your indoor air safe.

Opening a few windows in your home might dilute radon for a short time, but the gas seeps back in as soon as they’re closed. For a lasting fix, you’ll need a professional mitigation system—often a sub-slab depressurization fan—that pulls radon from beneath the foundation and safely vents it outside.
