"They installed about 160 feet of redwood privacy fence with three gates and an additional gated enclosure for a heat pump. For the wood fence itself they did excellent work. Quality material and accommodated some unusual features which meant the entire job was done by one contractor. The owner suggested and installed special gate latches that allow entry with a code on a keypad, which actually got them the job. Their failing was the crew doing the work did not understand how that special gate latch worked, and how to construct a gate to properly use it. I am handy with tools so I was able to spend a day to modify and add to their work to make the latch work. Not everyone is in a position to do that. They over-promised in that crew doing the actual installation needed more guidance for a completely successful installation. So if you have a standard fence and gates with standard Home Depot style hardware, I would recommend them. But if you need something unusual they really are not able to handle it and you need to plan to get that skill set elsewhere."

"We had an excellent experience with Bob and his 3 man crew from the very beginning to the end. First of all, he answers his cell phone and returns emails promptly. He was friendly, very amenable to critiques, and extremely flexible with his time and work. Due to delays with the other contractors, which interrupted Bob's work, he was very accommodating and worked with the schedule of the other contractors on the job. He returned several times to complete finish work so that the entire just was perfect. In addition, during the job, Bob and his crew were polite, very neat, and cleaned up each day. "Bill from Fine Point Painting first stopped by to perform an estimate. I am a newbie when it comes to painting jargon so Bill was quite helpful in his explanation of the various sheen types (flat, satin, eggshell, semi gloss etc.) and which sheen would look good in which areas. I also discussed a couple of options with him (like should I paint the ceilings or not) and he was again quite helpful with his suggestions.
He sent me the estimate the next morning and it was a very competitive price so I decided to go for it. The work was for 3 painters for 2 days and I used the Angie's list coupons.
On both days, Bill and team showed up very promptly. There were thorough professionals and knew exactly what to do. They bunched up all the furniture and covered it, covered the floors, removed the wall panels for all plug points in the wall, removed curtains. They cleaned all surfaces, patched holes, spot primed the patches and did a great job with the painting. The job was completed on time and I am very impressed with the quality of work.
I will definitely hire them again (thinking of painting the bedrooms and bathrooms next as well as the exterior)
