"The replacement went fine. The work was professional and at the agreed time. I was pleased with that. My only issue was with the charges. I had found the mechanism online priced at $108 (with $13 shipping). It would have arrived after my desired time frame, so I expected the locksmith would have a local resource from which to purchase at a wholesale price in a more timely manner. I expected that price to be about $60; certainly less than $100. However, I was told the locksmith paid $179! This didn't seem reasonable. Also, I did not receive an itemized receipt, only a total. After expecting to pay perhaps $150, I was actually charged almost TWICE that. So although I was happy with the work, I was certainly not happy with the price."

It was a complicated job because it involved structural elements. Monty clearly knows what he's doing and takes pride in his work. He ended up doing more than I'd asked for on his own initiative at no extra charge. My house is close to a hundred years old, so I am experienced in getting work done. "I started this process by getting 4 bids from reputable companies. One of the things you should be aware of is that some out there will try to take a lot of your time with demonstrations/high pressure sales. The price will be crazy and you will wonder why. It's simple...the big guys have to pay for overhead and all the salesmen that come to your home. Affordable Siding and Windows is a small company and has an advantage in having an owner in Jesse Elizondo, who also leads the crew that will be installing your windows. His bid was the best value based on the quality and scope of work. His crew removed and installed our blinds. No other company offered to do this. It eliminated another hassle and sold me on using them. Jesse kept me up to date with the window order and we selected an install date that never changed. The install took 2 days as we replaced all 14 windows in our home and a new front door. Each day they were there on time or slightly early with plenty of manpower. His guys are very hard working and the absolute best at keeping the work area clean. I saw a guy cleaning our floors as they rolled up each day and another one sweeping near the work area with a magnet to remove any screws/nails. The door frame that came with the door was the wrong size (my fault in ordering) but did this stop them? Nope. Jesse went to Home Depot and bought what was needed to to reconfigure. Again- zero hassles. I have a feeling if we went with anyone else this would have been a huge problem. At the end of the project, our house looks and feels better than ever and I would encourage you to hire Jesse and his team if you need windows/doors/siding. They are true professionals."

"This was a worry-free, done-right experience. Extensive work done on lake home, including railings for dock walkway, moving an iron gate and replacing with an automatic-opening one, a gate for the deck fencing, railing for the house walkway. Upon completion, there was nothing that needed correction. He also installed a Sunsetter retractable awning for us which was a good savings since we purchased it from Costco. It looks and works great! Frank is punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable. He is easy to work with, and very nice. We would not hesitate to hire his services again"
