Lionel laid out the job in detail, provided a thorough estimate, and came in on budget. Based on that excellent experience, we had him build us a cabin in the mountains. We agreed to work in $50k increments and that every phase of the work must be completed before asking for more money. Paul had trouble hiring and keeping subs and would complain to us what losers they were, as if was not responsible for hiring them. The quality of the work was atrocious, but before it was near finished, he demanded more money. We said no, you have to finish, and he took off.
