"What a wonderful plumber! He is competent, diligent, responsive and honest. I only wish the other contractors I have dealt with were on par with this man. I will not let anyone else do plumbing for me. And, this is probably the forth or fifth time I have used him over the years."

"Robert showed up at the committed time. After reviewing what  we originally called him for we discovered that the drain in one of the showers needed to be replaced. This was unscheduled, however, he took the time to complete the task  so the shower drain would work again. This took awhile and was in a difficult area of the upstairs access point but he got it done within a reasonable amount of time. He also took care of unclogging the laundry drain and replacing 3 toilet flappers. What was expected to take place within a few hours ended up taking about 4. I'd use RG England Plumbing in the future if needed. <br />"

"We've heard the sound of running water in our house for several days and were concerned about a possible leak. I called Drain Master early this morning. Alex, the owner, called me back within an hour and worked with me to set up a convenient time for his technician to come. Hugo arrived on time later in the morning and inspected our pipes under the house. He found the leak, explained what he needed to do, and replaced the leaking pipe within a couple of hours. All this within the same day (Saturday!). We are very happy with Alex's and Hugo's professionalism, their quick response and punctuality, and the price we paid for the repair was very reasonable."

"Benny Zadikian and his son Coco had to replace the pipes behind a shower wall to install an updated shower valve and fix the leak(s). They followed the manufacturer’s instructions to the letter, and they were only satisfied when it was done perfectly according to those instructions. However, the manufacturer’s retro-fit kit was faulty due to a very obvious design flaw. It simply would not fit, even though the instructions and numerous manufacturer’s representatives stated it “should.” Therefore, I had to order a new shower trim and handle, at added expense, due only to the manufacturer’s design flaw – not Benny and Coco’s work. Unbelievably, the new shower trim and handle also had another obvious design flaw and would not fit either! This could have required entirely new piping – until Benny thought of a way to make it work. It was only due to his dedication and creativity that the new shower trim and handle now fit – despite the manufacturer’s second design flaw, which Benny corrected. Fortunately, the hot & cold valve stems were easily replaced. Benny Zadikian and Coco are as dedicated, honest and creative as they are knowledgeable and professional. Their work as impeccable. I referred them to my step-daughter and her family, and they were equally as pleased. I’m glad to say we now have a “family” plumber!"

"The person performing the service had to make several trips because one of the "new" parts turned out to be faulty. I found both Complete Protection and their local repair contractor to be both very responsive and totally professional at every stage of the repair process."

"Excellent customer service. Made two systems operate and gave important knowledge of the future life of these 15 or more year old systems and how they will need to be repaired or likely replacement once the new environmental laws on Freon goes into effect in 2020"

"Needed to use the machine snake to clear a bathroom drain that had a rust clog. The job took about 40 minutes.  The plastic trap was broken by the drain snake, so he had to replace it. The brass replacement cost $35.  The trip charge/first hour was $104. Total charge was $139. Plumber was experienced, knew what he was doing and didn't try to sell me a whole new drain pipe for the house which is 90 yrs. old.  I have used Plotke Plumbing for years.  They are not cheap, but I have found them to be honest and professional."

"8/27/17 Had a new hot water heater installed. Installation went fine and quality of product so far as been okay. Biggest complaint is with the customer service we received and the length of time to get the issue resolved. 10/24/17 Still had not received the permit. Contacted the company and a copy was emailed. 1026/17 City Inspector came to the residence. The inspection failed due to the insulation not done to code. A copy of the correction notice stating the problem was sent to the company. 11/7/17 Appointment set-up to make the correction. Around mid-morning my husband received a message at work that our appointment was cancelled because we could not be reached. When I contacted the “Supervisor” I was told they tried my cell phone but kept getting an error message. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my phone. When I asked if they could still come that day, I was told the best they could do was the following week on 11/15/17. 11/14/17 Because of the previous week “mix-up” I called late afternoon to confirm the appointment. After being on hold for several minutes, the “Supervisor” told me they were not keeping the appointment because the Field Service Supervisor deemed the city code to be a fire hazard. 11/15/17 After leaving 2 messages for the Field Supervisor, my husband finally spoke to him. He stated his reasons for not doing the insulation to code and said he would contact the city inspector to get the matter resolved. 12/7/17 Called for an update bunt nothing had been resolved with the city. 12/18/17 Received message from the company that our original permit had been returned because the address was incorrect and could I please call and give them the correct address. When I called back the number that was left turned out to be a locksmith company. I tried the number that the call was made from (Seattle area code) but it was a number that could not receive calls. 12/18/17 Still no response or update. Called the Field Supervisor again and his suggestion was that we contact the city inspector ourselves. 12/18/17 Spoke to the Senior City Inspector and received an email citing the code violations. He said the city could not intervene, but suggested that we file a complaint with the CSLB if the company refused to make the corrections. I contacted the company and they finally agreed to make the corrections. 12/27/17 The corrections were made and on 12/28/17 the city inspector signed the permit."

"The company manager called to discuss my problems and set up an appointment to look at the equipment and determine what the problems were.  A couple of parts were replaced and complimentary projects were provided.  The manager then followed up with several e-mails to make sure the equipment was operating properly. <br /> <br /> The short answer is that Hague Water and the local business manager did all they could to make me a happy satisfied customer and I respect and appreciate the effort put forth."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Santa Barbara, CA

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
