"After a dismal experience with another dryer vent cleaning company (Air Doctor) that left me with a still-clogged dyer vent, a hole in the ceiling of one of my bedrooms, and $149.00 out of my pocket, I contacted a person I trust at Airco to seek his help. He recommended I use Breathe Easy--it's the company Airco refers all vent cleaning jobs to. The Airco representative called Bill Reynolds, the Breathe Easy General Manager, explained my situation, and set up an appointment for them to come to my house on Feb 15th and clean my dryer vent. The Breathe Easy crew (David Maxwell and Ruben Lora) arrived precisely on time--and so did Bill Reynolds. Having the General Manager personally come out for my job immediately impressed me. Before I knew it, the crew had my dryer moved out the way, had the ladder up, and had started removing the vent cap (which was clogged with lint). The crew cleaned my dryer vent ducting from the top (roof) to the bottom, cleaned all the debris from the vent cap and replaced it, then repeated the vent cleaning process from the bottom (my laundry room) to the top. They hooked the dryer up, and packed up their equipment. Their precision and professionalism were outstanding--so much so that I immediately signed up for their Preferred Customer Agreement to have them come out every two years to clean the vent. As a bonus, they gave me a 10% discount as an Airco referral."

"Dan came out to look at a small leak we thought was blowing in under the eave. Turns out the false barn door over our garage was a hole with a thin piece plywood to keep the weather out. Dan and his guys took the area apart, then repaired the hole and sided the area before painting. It would be hard to tell there was ever a different look to the house. The repair is perfect!"

"They gave us bad news--our chimney was not safe. Because of the damage, it could hold carbon monoxide in the walls. Then they suggested (& showed us pictures on their phone) of ventless logs.  They look just like real burning logs, but they don't need any venting.  They even turn on and off with a remote control.  We were sold!  They were $350 including installation.  They had to order the log set and called us when they came in and were back in about a week to install.  We discussed how to close off the chimney we no longer needed (there was no flue).  Tom, the owner went up on the roof to have a look.  He said our chimney was a weird shape but that he could close it off at the top with some steel--it would keep rain and critters out.  He also told us that the flashing around the chimney was leaking--we had noticed some water damage.  He came back the next day, a Saturday, to repair the flashing and install the chimney cover.  He even mounted a weathervane while he was up there that I was too scared to climb on the roof to do. He charged $150 for those two jobs. I liked it that he was willing to work with us to come up with relatively low-cost solutions to our chimney problems (at one point we discussed just putting a trash bag over the top of the chimney).  I would highly recommend this company. <br />"

"My husband and I were looking for someone to install new skylights and repair our roof since we were having issues with leaking in our living area. "Our chimney hadn't been cleaned for about five years and I was concerned about the amount of creosote that was building up inside the chimney. I cleaned and vacuumed the fireplace prior to inspection for my personal inspection, where upon I found the creosote build up. I believe that the technician did a responsible inspection and discussed his findings on the creosote after I questioned him. I was told the the creosote build up had to be significantly thicker to cause a fire hazard, but was not sure how much thicker. That the cracks and missing mortar inside the fireplace were not significant, but I did have the proper caulk to repair them. <br /> It appears to me that fireplace safety is more of an art than a science, but I did come away from the experiencing feeling better about my fireplace and will repair the cracks with Rutland's Fireplace Mortar. <br /> So, with the wide spread in the price of fireplace cleaning and inspections this company was among the higher priced. To me the cost was worth the peace of mind by being able to discuss the fireplace condition with a person whose knowledge I respected. In the past I had a technician who did little more than go thru the motions, check off the inspection form, and drive away. <br />"
