"The installation went well, overall. Spectrum's personnel were knowledgeable, courteous, honest and helpful. They assessed both of the two tanks I had originally asked to have replaced and let me know that only one actually needed to be replaced at the time. I appreciated their candor and the explanation and demonstration they gave me to support their estimate that the second apartment's tank would last at least another 5 - 10 years. They advised me in advance that they might need to temporarily remove the stair treads from the two bottom basement stairs in order to manipulate the tanks as they moved the new one in and the old one out. They explained multiple options for transferring fuel between the old and new tanks together with the attendant risks and costs / savings. We decided to schedule the installation once my tenants old tank was almost empty to speed and simplify the process. I was completely satisfied with how they cleaned the installation area and replaced the stair treads at the end of the project. Only one concern arose during the project when the installation had to be delayed for several days because a funeral and another unplanned event came up for one of Spectrum's principals. Except for this delay and the resulting concern about my tenants running out of fuel, the installation went very smoothly and I am quite pleased with the result. <br />"

"They are honest about things that needed to be done, that he could or could not do. He has a lot going on and so he has to work on bigger project first but that is common. Sometimes if he do not have a big job you cannot really expect to get quick service, that kind of goes for a lot of people. "Bobby had done plumbing work for me before dealing with leaks and replacing two toilets and had done a great job. The clapboards on the southern side of the house were in serious disrepair and badly in need of stain as they were drying up and popping many screws. Bobby replaced the sizable portion of boards that need to be replaced and stained/restained the entire side. Likewise with the deck which had never been stained. After a powerwashing and stain job it looks fabulous. Even though the wood was very thirsty and took quite a few more coats than originally estimated, Bobby did not charge for the extra labor just for the extra supplies. <br /> <br /> This job was accomplished over two weeks of heavy rains, punctuated by brutal hot weather in the 90's. We were away at the time, but Bobby get in touch via phone, email and picture updates. We were very happy with the job and with his dedication."

The project did take a long time as he was balancing snow removal with our renovation, but he did explain this before he started. He was very honest and had good ideas; we never thought he was deliberately running up the price or making the project more complex than it needed to be. He was willing to do a few other minor repairs around our home that were needed. He also removed all construction debris and was willing to economize when we asked him to.
