"It took some time for Mike to actually work on my Driveway and Patio. This was NO fault of his as neither of us knew the City of New Hope wouldn't allow heavy vehicles on their side streets until after April 15th. The heavy equipment needed were the rucks to remove the previous driveway and patio material. Throughout the entire process I was called numerous times if anything got in the way. The craftsmanship was superb and the price was very reasonable. Mikes team was very professional and responsive to any concerns I had. I have already asked for a few future projects to be bid with the intention of having those worked on either later in the year or next year. "On one hand it is difficult to know how to evaluate the service we received from Service Master. We have never hired a cleaning company before, and what we needed was a very deep clean of our house prior to listing it for sale. If the results were undeniably spectacular, then it would be easy an easy evaluation. The house looked so much better after the painting and cleaning - night and day. However, the painters left some streaks of paint on the wood floors and neither they, nor Service Master, were able to clean them up, even though they both said they would. Moreover, citing the paint on the floor, Service Master came back to us after a day of cleaning saying they needed more time for an additional charge of $600. 
We were in sort of a vulnerable position: they weren't done with their work and we were days away from getting our house listed. So we felt like we had no choice but to agree.
We already thought they were expensive, and this just added to our feeling that maybe we were being taken advantage of. Unfortunately, our situation made us vulnerable in this way. We were in a hurry and busy with not only our jobs but getting the house ready for sale. So we only got one estimate for cleaning the house, and used Service Master because they were the only company who could meet our deadline (our agent told us about Service Master, and the top companies we called from Angie's List were not able to meet our schedule.)
Overall, the house did look great after their cleaning and, as a postlude, it sold in one day on MLS, so there was a bright end after all. We just have this nagging feeling that we paid a lot more than we should have, and we didn't like having to agree to pay more in the middle of the work."

"I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with my beautiful retaining wall. The whole experience with Genadek Landscaping and Excavating Inc. was enjoyable. From scheduling thru completion, not only was I treated with respect but so was my house, grounds and neighborhood. Thru the whole process I was treated with courtesy by Stan and his crew. When I told Stan my vision, he found the blocks I had envisioned (other companies told me what they would use and it wasn't what I wanted), when I changed the design a little, asked all kinds of questions and wanted an extra layer of block put on, everyone went with the flow. It felt like there was nothing else that mattered besides making my job and my needs top priority. I really appreciated the men keeping the area clean and I got a kick out of hearing "a clean work site is a happy work site". The wall not only looks great but having seen the accuracy, care and professionalism with which it was built, I'm sure it will last for decades. Not only would I highly recommend Stan and his crew, but so would several of my neighbors who appreiciated their workmanship, courtesy, and professionalism. I should mention that Stan's estimate was competitive and I appreciated knowing up front what any changes would cost.

"I'll make this short, but could write a novel. From the start he was great to work with, then once work began dates kept getting pushed and pushed. the wrong garage door was installed, I had a garage door opener installed that I didn't ask for (but am glad it's there now), the service door was the wrong swing, the apron had to be redone due to being the wrong size and it didn't have a slope to it. I heard over and over that he was just the messenger to relay the information to his sub-contractors. the project was completed one month after the 'promised' completion date. Once the project was comlete I have to say that I'm happy with the finished product, just the process was VERY frustrating. That's the short version...take it for what you will."
