"I was very impressed with the work Precision Framing did. I hired them for a full kitchen remodel. They showed up when they said the would. They kept me in the loop on everything, and they were very responsive to all of my questions or concerns. They were also very helpful in pointing me in the right direction when it came to buying the right materials for my project. All the work was done in a timely manner. I plan on hiring them again for future projects. I'm attaching before during and after pictures."

"From start to finish, this job was done in a professional manner.  Great care was taken to ensure that my house and landscaping was protected.  Steve (owner) personally supervised the project and took the time to answer all of my questions (and I had a lot of them!) before, during and after the project. The roof looks great and seems to be of a high quality - no problems so far.  There are a few shingles that have not yet laid completely flat (after 2 days), but Steve assured me that is normal and will be completely flat (from heat and gravity) in month or less (and that they would come back to correct if any do not lay flat after a month).   <br /> This was the first time that I needed to have home work done related to an insurance claim, so honestly I did not know what to expect from this industry.  What came to my doorstep seemed to be mostly questionable "storm chasers" types, many of which were not local and seemed only interested in knowing how much money the insurance company was paying out to cover the damage. So, I thought to myself, why do they want to know how much the ins company was paying?  Shouldn't they honestly determine what my job should cost to do correctly and how much margin they would target making - regardless of ins numbers?  Preferred never asked to see the ins numbers during the estimate, so I felt that they were truly looking to do an honest repair to my home regardless of what ins may or may not have covered. <br /> One other note - the roofing crew did accidentally damage my garden's above ground watering pipe, but Steve arranged to send out a plumber the very next morning to fix it!  Nice job! <br />"

"Let me start by saying that the quote that I got from the Woodshop was the most expensive for the project of remodeling my kitchen, but because the Woodshop had a good reputation based on reviews on Angie’ List, Houzz.com, and word of mouth I made the decision to contract with them for the job. I can’t begin to explain how disappointed I am with the whole experience. In an effort to keep this from becoming too long I will highlight the main areas of concern below: - There were things that I was told prior to signing the contract which ended up being untrue or not honored by the Woodshop, The items were not important to the completion of the job but I feel it is worth mentioning. - There was a definite lack of communication from the Woodshop on important issues such as scheduling, project delays, and problem resolution. - There was also a lack of communication within the Woodshop. There were instances in which staff was not aware of important project details, which in some cases affected materials ordering. In addition, there were scheduling issues that resulted from the lack of communication within the company. - The design for the kitchen contained a flaw in the spacing of the cabinets that would not allow for the dishwasher door to open fully. It would open about two-thirds of the way and then come to rest on the side of the pantry cabinet. I was told it was because the unusual size of the dishwasher door (it’s a GE Profile). This was corrected by cutting back the pantry so now the door opens, but that caused other issues because the counter top installation was meant to be flush with the Pantry… - The cut outs for the built in dishwasher and refrigerator are extremely tight. So tight that dishwasher hose was causing the dishwasher to be installed at an angle and the appliance installer had to replace the rubber insulation with a much thinner version so that the door would close properly. At one point the pressure from the refrigerator actually caused the side panel of the built in to detach leaving a gap in the cabinetry above the fridge and the side panel. I want to note hear that all appliance measurements were given to them months in advance. When I questioned the sizing of the built in I was told that the built-ins are designed to standard sizes, not to the fit of my appliances specifically. This makes me wonder why they needed the specs to the appliances that I purchased? - The finishes were rushed and sloppy. It took several return visits from the woodshop and I still had to hire another contractor to cleanup some of the sloppy work that was done. - To this point there has been a lack of follow up and concern from The Woodshop. There are still issues that I am working to resolve and I am beginning to believe that I am going to have to pay another contractor to complete. This really is just a summary of the bigger pain points experienced with this kitchen remodel. To be fair, my kitchen looks good, some things were done really well. It took some time, but my kitchen functions properly with only minor flaws, but it was a definite struggle to get to this point. One last note; The owner of The Woodshop can be very convincing when he is standing in your partially functioning kitchen asking for final payment. I would recommend that you hold off until you are completely satisfied with the work. My husband and I didn’t."

"After seeing their product at the Minneapolis Home & Garden show we were convinced that this was the right product for our porch improvement work. The guys from EZ-Screen brought samples to our home to help us select frame color and installation method. They took careful measurements of all of the window and door openings and put our order in motion. A few weeks later our windows and door were delivered. <br /> <br /> We did this work at the same time we had some exterior siding work done by another contractor. We arranged to have that contractor do the actual installation of the EZ-Screen product. The rep from EZ-Screen came out to our site when the installation started to ensure that our contractor understood how to properly install the windows and door. Everything went smoothly and contractor commented on how easy the windows went in. <br /> <br /> After three full seasons of use we still enjoy the product and we're pleased that we chose this as part of our porch renovation. It has added several additional months to our porch usage in our short Minnesota summer seasons. I highly recommend this product for any new screen porch or porch renovation job!"

"Everything was very professionally done, with minimal disruption.  The  workmen were friendly, prompt and neat, cleaning up each day of a 5 day project so we could use the room during the renovation.  We are very happy with the finished product.   <br /> I would submit photos, but I don't see a place or directions to be able to do that. <br /> <br />"

"The job was a bit delayed because of a very rainy season and an understandable backup of work because of all the rain.  When the rain finally let up, they did come and start the job just when they said they would, and it went smoothly.  All work was done as originally stated, and we were very satisfied with their work.  A roll off dumpster was provided for all the debris from the job, and after a complete clean up, the property looked like they had never been there.......and we had a beautiful new roof! <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Schererville, IN

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
