Customers say: Terrific value

"We have used Dean for 3 projects: driveway, stamped concrete patio and replaced cracked concrete pad. All have been done on time and were amazing!! They are professional, within our price range and went above and beyond our expectations. We have recommended them to family and neighbors who have also hired them and have been just as Happy!!!!! You will not be disappointed. If I could give higher than 5 ⭐️ I would!"

"Our realtor referred us to Sanders and Sons for critical repair of the brick around our foundation. We were merely looking for a functional result but Tim and his team made sure our brickwork looked beautiful. Could not have been happier with the process, communication, or the result. Would highly recommend Sanders and Sons!"

"Jason and his crew are fabulous.  They are punctual, professional, honest, and fair. They did a LOT of work during the summer of 2013 -- entire front and back yard landscaped, window boxes hung and planted, whiskey barrels planted, irrigation installed (we even have irrigation in the barrels and window boxes), decks stained, lawn mowed weekly, etc.  We spent several thousand dollars, but Jason kept us aware of costs, and we are extremely pleased with the results.  Perhaps the greatest thing about Nagas is Jason and the crew's enthusiasm and pride in the work.  Highly recommended.

Small jobs welcome

"Excellent job. Very friendly, listen and took care of all of my concerns. Very, very hard workers. For many years we have tried to get the rain water to drain away from the garage they took their time and measurements constantly and now we have a beautiful driveway that wonâ t let water in the garage. Outstanding job if you need concrete work done this is the company to call. Rated 5 + Thank you to D & J Concrete."

"It went so well! This is the 2nd time we have had work done by them! The first time was installing a front door which they were prompt and got the job done within a day! This 2nd time I got several estimates and when I recieved their estimate I decided to go with them! They arrived on Monday at about 9:a.m. with the flooring...they started to take up the carpet and the padding and  because of the room size ask me which way should I lay the flooring...which I appreciated and then off they went. They moved furniture along with washer and dryer. They moved quickly and efficiently and got done a 1/2 day early! No complaints with there work...Jonathan and his worker were polite and cleaned up! I will use them for my next job! Give this business an opportunity to serve you!

"Bob and his team were fantastic. Quick response, fair pricing and showed up on time. We are installing a new basketball goal and needed help digging a 4ft deep hole for the anchor system. Bob's team did a great job, and the concrete turned out perfectly square and leveled to our driveway. I will definitely hire Bob again!"

FAQs for concrete foundation installation projects in Scotland, IN

A concrete footer is a relatively shallow column of concrete that sits below your foundation walls. Footers spread wider than the foundation, so they can support a higher amount of weight in critical spots, such as below walls. The exact dimensions of footers depend on the home, so larger structures need a larger footing.

To calculate footing size, you need to know the minimum width and depth for houses in your region. Multiplying the width by the linear footprint of the structure will give you the size in linear feet.

To convert linear feet into square feet, you can divide the width by 12. For example, an 18-inch footer is 1.5 square feet per linear foot. Multiply this number by the total in linear feet to get the answer in square feet.

Installing a pier and beam foundation costs $5 per square foot, or $8,000 to $15,000. This style is standard in homes built before the 1960s or those in flood-prone areas.

Concrete weight support ranges from 1,500 to 6,500 pounds per square inch, and footings need at least 3,500 to 4,500 pounds per square inch. Remember that your soil type, climate, and materials used will significantly affect how much weight your footings can hold, especially in certain areas.

It costs between $1,600 and $3,200 to pour a 20-by-20-foot concrete slab. These estimates are based on an average cost to pour a concrete slab of $4 to $8 per square foot. Be sure to discuss the specifics with a pro—they’ll give you an estimate of how much you can expect.

The cost to raise a house is between $3,200 and $10,000. This range refers to a form of repair that involves lifting the entire house to potentially remove the old foundation and build a new one or add to an existing one.
