"We have nothing but great things to say about working with this company. While they are small, they certainly deliver like a big company in terms of quality and responsiveness. John is their business guy, and he met us more than once to scope our job and discuss the details. We found SR on Angie's List, and they were very highly rated. John is good rep to bring in business; he listens and offers suggestions, but is not pushy. In other words, he does not oversell what they do. I liked that. Once we decided to go with SR, we inked the contract after working closely with John on what SR would provide and what we would provide in terms of materiel, which was just about everything. SR bought very little for our project, which is what I preferred. We also did a  good portion of our demolition, which was not an issue with SR. <br />     Brad led the remodel effort, working primarily with Ryan. Brad has 20+ years in the business and it shows in the type of things he can do, and the quality that's delivered. We trusted Brad and Ryan all the way and they were very easy to work with on a daily basis. Many times we'd keep in touch via email with Brad, sometimes as early as 4AM since I tend to rise early. I would say our job was one of, if not their largest remodel, job and it required some complex work, especially on wall support (we expanded an opening in our wall) which required a support beam to added.  Brad and Ryan did all of this with no issues, and were enormously versatile in what they could do. The only hiccup we really had in the project was our ceiling, which we did replace. Once the ceiling put in and painted, it cracked in few places and had to repaired again, and repainted again. Came out the second time looking just fine, as Brad assured me it would. While this did set us back a bit, it all worked out fine. <br />     Given all the work, we are thrilled with the outcome. Cabinets, counter tops, LOTS of flooring, new appliances, a brick fireplace, wall expansion, new ceiling, etc...most of the main floor got a major face lift. Our neighbors and my family saw the final product and were stunned. What more can you say. These guys know what they're doing and they're great to work with. <br />     We are very pleased with Striking and will go back to them  again if we do more work. For our first ever remodeling project, this one was super successful. We highly recommend them as a company you can trust and will be very happy with their work."

"<p>He won the bid by being three time lower than Handyman of Metroeast. His original bid was $1770. <br /> But when the room was drywalled and insulated, then he taped and mudded it for $500. Then finished the room, trimmed out four windows and three doors and baseboards and he did a super job and painted it for $1240. Then this week he installed Allure flooring for $633 with cost of floor too. All my costs were for supplies also.<br /> The final cost still beat Handyman of Metroeast by $1600. "he arrived a few minutes early and went right to work on my basement door. It now works beautifully. He even took out a bunch of junk to the dumpster that I wasn't able to remove because I hadn't been able to open the door. He glued down the ripped vinyl flooring (ripped from a wheelchair because we had floating flooring and it isn't wheelchair friendly) reattached vinyl trim under the cabinets, one security light was replaced and he purchased two new bulbs for another one, fixed a small ramp leading to the back door so the wheelchair rolls smoothly thru the doorway, moved the entry door in and pretty much reconstructed the entire doorway to install the new storm door, installed door handles, and took out a pile of flattened boxes and other trash from my deck to the dumpster. he repaired 3 gates to my backyard. I'm almost sure he did more but I'm forgetting the little stuff. Ron is a very friendly guy and listens to what you want and helps to come up with a solution. I am calling him back to do a bunch more work for me. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family and everyone else, too!"
