"Chuck, with another colleague, came to my home, and after discussing the entire job, I was given a firm quote. This discussion involved advising me on the issues involved and the cost of converting the cooktop from electric to gas, and the selection of the oven/micro combo based upon the limitations of the existing configuration and measurements. This was really helpful since I had already done some looking and had two models in mind that wouldn't have worked out at all. After finalizing and purchasing my appliance choices, and choosing the new countertop, I accepted their quote, and they returned to take precise measurements. Also, the countertop I had selected would be purchased from their own source, at a better price. After I had selected and purchased the new sink, they returned for it and took it to the countertop provider, so that a precise cut-out for the sink could be made. Two to three weeks later, the countertop was delivered, as were all the appliances, and a date for installation was decided. This was a big job, lots of ripping out and installing new, and taking away the old appliances, cleaning up and removing all the packaging, and finally, cleaning up as much as was possible of the debris. The two worked steadily for 8+ hours. They were very pleasant and polite, worked well together, and were efficient and competent. Chuck responded quickly to phone calls, and kept me well advised of timing and any other issues involved. To sum up, they did a great job and I haven't a single negative thing to say. It was a job well done, and looks it. I am completely satisfied and would hire them again."

"When we had an issue with or stove we called the warranty company Lowes uses. They sent out a slovenly dressed repairman who took a couple hours to mis diagnose the issue. Came back with a part days later, installed left without testing. After complaining and requesting a new service company, in walks Bobby from Mid America Electronics. After describing the issue, Bobby explained how the system functioned and new what the issue was. He then showed me the obviously broken heating element. Part came in he installed and verified the issue was resolved. Bobby was clean and neatly dressed prompt and polite! If you have issues with your appliances ask for Mid America to do your repairs!"

"I ordered this service through the Big Deal, and it went fine.  The vents got cleaned, but here are a few things they could have done better: (1) When I scheduled the service nobody discussed having to make cuts into the HVAC channels.  I have had this service performed before in other homes, so I was expecting it.  However, that should be part of their standard up-front disclosure so first-time purchasers are not caught off-guard, (2) my original scheduled service date had to be re-scheduled due to the external temperature.  They need it to be at least 32 degrees F outside for their equipment to work.  That is fine, and I understand their requirements.  However, they did not mention this to me when I was making my original appointment and they did not notify me until the morning of the appointment that they had to cancel.  I had already arranged to take-off work, and burned 4 hours of my vacation time.  Had they notified me just 24 hours before (plenty of time to see the weather forecast) I could have saved those 4 hours, (3) they guys that came to do the job were professional enough--but, they reeked of cigarette smoke and one of them clogged up my toilet. <br />"
