"I hired H&H plumbing to install a new kitchen sink and faucet as well as e bathroom faucets. They did an excellent job. Alex came out to give me an estimate he also measured my sink to make sure I purched the right size. Bryan did the actual installing of everything. He arrived on time he was courteous and friendly and did an excellent job installing everything in a timely manner. I would absolutely recommend H&H plumbing I will use them for my future needs."

"Mark did an excellent job on our counters. They look fabulous and the price was lower than other places. The turn around time was very quick, maybe two weeks from ordering material to finished install. We’re very happy with Marks work! On top of it he is very friendly."

"Have been in the house now for three years. From day one has issues with the build of this house. Had to reconstruct one of the bathrooms because the construction was just poorly done. Just lazy work, cheaply supplies used.Just had to have the septic flushed and was told the pipes are layed incorrectly. The septic pipe is going upwards which it should be going downward...I would not recommend this company to build anything, not even a dog house. The drip is still heard in the house. Can't afford to get fixed and from day one we told them about the issues. The flooring is buckled because they put the flooring down and set the kitchen cabinets on top of the flooring. Short cuts were done all thru the house and it's just ridiculous! This builder wants to save themselves money at the cost of your expenses! WARNiNG DO NOT BUY A HOUSE FROM THeM U WILl ReGReT It. All of the fixtures under the sinks were all loose we found this out after we noticed water coming from under the kitchen sink. So my husband checked all other sinks and everything was just put in loose and left that way. Lucky we checked because that could have been catastrophic. The only thing that was good about the house was / is the floor plan! The shell was attractive but the construction IS POORLY DONE....Take heed to what I am saying and they will not help you to rectify anything! Now we are left paying the price! All the fixtures are rusted, so we will have to replace those... probably used scratch and dent appliances...imagine only 3 years and all these issues...BE AWARE OF THIS BUILDER and they aren't even builders come to find out they are flippers...after the fact my neighbor said she watched the build...it was a husband and wife and then whomever else they could get to finish it off...trying to find out and will find out who inspected this house...shame on them. UNHAPPY MASCOTTE HOME OWNER the walls are paper this, can literally be sitting in the front living room and hear the conversation in the garage..."

"Showed up went to the back of the house through the fence without letting us know, dug three large holes to find the tank, which we could have told them where it was. Then did a 30 minute test in 10 minutes, put the lid on, then instead of filling in the top stole some pavers from the walkway and threw on top of the tank. Then as they were cleaning up to go I noticed them cleaning the hose on my driveway right in front of the front door. Now to top it off they had pulled into the driveway with their very large truck and broke about 40 feet of the driveway, all because they drove off the driveway, then claimed I told them they could do that. So now I'm stuck with a $4000 concrete bill all because they were too stupid to know their truck not only couldn't drive on 4 inch concrete, but drove off the concrete which is what really started the break. First why would they even ask, if they asked, to drive on concrete they know they would break, and what type of driving skills did the driver have not so stay on the concrete, I back a trailer out of the driveway all the time with a full sized truck and never go off the concrete. Also it was just over 100 feet from the road to the tank, so there was no reason when they had 300 feet on the truck, pure lazy, terrible service. Be careful, they won't ask, they will just back their truck up the driveway, our situation they went off the driveway on both sides into the plants, very bad driver."

FAQs for sump pump or interior foundation drains installation projects in Scottsmoor, FL

Most residential pumps draw approximately 1,300 to 2,900 watts when they first start, then settle at roughly 800 to 1,050 watts during normal operation. The exact number depends on the motor’s horsepower and how often the float switch tells the pump to run. Even at the high end, the electricity cost is minor compared with the expense of cleaning up a flooded basement.

Grab a ruler and an empty 18‑inch‑wide pit. During a steady rain, time how much the water rises in one minute. Multiply that depth (in inches) by 60 to calculate gallons per hour, then add 50% for safety. If the result tops 2,100 gallons per hour—about 35 gallons a minute—you’ll need a 3/4‑horsepower unit. Anything lower, and a 1/3- or 1/2-horsepower pump should do the trick.

Loud rattling, constant cycling, or shuddering vibrations are the pump’s way of telling you it’s on its last legs. Musty smells, higher electric bills, and visible rust are other red flags. If the unit is 10 years old or older and exhibits any of these symptoms, replace it before the next heavy rain turns your basement into a wading pool.

You don’t have to hire a licensed plumber, but you should still bring in someone who installs sump pumps for a living—whether that’s a plumber, basement‑waterproofing specialist, or experienced handyman. They know the local codes, can wire the pump safely, and will test the system before they leave. Skipping professional help might void the warranty and could leave you with a pump that fails when you need it most.

Not every basement needs a pump, but if your home sits in a floodplain, has a high water table, or has ever taken on water during a storm, a sump pump is inexpensive insurance. For basements that only struggle with condensation or the occasional damp spot, sealing cracks and improving drainage may be all that is needed.
