"Fred and his staff were beyond amazing. We had some foundation requirements along with special styling and they achieved all of our requests with extra care. The rough design was turned into a patio that we were imagining in our dreams. They warned us of their busy schedule and still beat their estimated time of completion by over two weeks. We have several tradesmen peers who were astonished by the quality of the work. The quality of the stamping and finishing work was done above expectations. They colored, power-washed, and used a high end sealer with grit to finish. The turnaround time from when they started the job to end was around 4 days. We could walk on it after a few days."

Customers say: Quick response

"New 2 car concrete driveway with a paver border and new sidewalk in front of the house were installed. Justin and his father, Frank completed the job in 4 days. They removed an old pebble driveway and an old 82 ft wide concrete sidewalk. They selected a great paver to match the existing paver walkway to the side porch. Meticulous job start to finish and a very reasonable cost compared to other local bids. Gave accurate quote and start and finish dates."

"I would highly recommend Procrete. They are a hard working family business. They were efficient and pleasant to deal with. The work was high quality for a reasonable price. The start date changed a few times due to weather conditions but they called and updated me each time and were there when they said. I'm one of those people that usually finds something wrong with everything, but can't say enough about The great experience we had and the awesome patio I have. Thanks Procrete"

"A-List Concrete did a great job on our concrete patio. They arrived on time and completed the job in one day. They adhered to the quoted estimate. We had wanted a curvy edge, which some contractors balked at. It was no problem for A-List and they did beautiful work for us according to our diagram. When it was completed, we almost wished we didn't have to put the swim spa on it, we liked the way it looked so much! Thanks again!"

"Responsive from first contact, Matt listened to what we wanted to accomplish and incorporated our ideas into a beautiful and functional design with stone, plantings and wood elements that we could never have envisioned for our home. We are looking forward to moving on to phase 2 this spring."

"It went great!  Barry did a first rate job.   He has done a variety of work at our home - installed window, storm door, gutter cleaning and installation of gutter guards.  Always charges a fair price.  A pleasure to do business with. <br />"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Sea Isle City, NJ

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
