The estimator said it is usually 2 to 3 weeks, but we waited for 2 months with next to no communication except what I initiated. When they started the job they found the base under the original driveway to be substandard and the estimator said it would cost more to do the job right. OK, I understand. When I complained they had left the driveway a safety hazard (dug up with a bit of a drop into large rocks), the Owner came out on a Saturday (I was impressed) and with his crew, finished the grading, installed the additional rocks to complete the bed and added the initial layer of asphalt. At that time he said; yes, it would be more than the initial estimate, but it would be hundreds, not thousands of dollars. When the bill came in, it was nearly $2000 more than the initial estimate. I called the office to inquire what happened, but never had the courtesy of a return call. <br /> Fantastic driveway, lousy communications. <br />"
