"Alex and team were very professional and responsive to any questions we had during the process. Both visits were efficient and our radon test after the mitigation system went from a 9 to a 1.3. Awesome work!"

"It went great. I highly recommend them. They were a pleasure to deal with. The person that came out for the estimate answered all of my questions. The estimate was fair. The work was done on schedule and with no problem. At completion, everything was explained to me. I used their electrician which worked out fine. After completion the radon test showed that my level was now undetectable."

"I waited a month before getting a test kit I called and was told there was something wrong with the Angies list orders but that I would be receiving a kit soon. It wouldve ben nice if they called me to tell me that though. The test results were quick and on par with other radon test I had done locally."

An examination of a real estate property's condition, usually performed in connection with the property's sale. A qualified home inspector can assess the condition of a property's roof, foundation, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, electrical work, water and sewage, and some fire and safety issues. In addition, the home inspector will look for evidence of insect, water or fire damage or any other issue that may affect the value of the property.

"Brian arrived right on time, and promptly got to work. He had actually went into the home being inspected two days before the scheduled inspection to set up radon testing equipment. He was very easy to work with and shared any problems he saw right away with me. There was a problem with the water turning on in the house after the de-winterization process and he was unable to inspect the plumbing on the scheduled inspection day. Without hesitation he said he would come back as soon as the problem was fixed, (by the seller) to check out the plumbing - at no extra charge. He kept his word and was back once the problem was fixed and gave a thorough inspection of the plumbing. He presented a detailed report of the inspection with pictures and recommendations, hand delivered, later the very same day of the original inspection. - he provided an addendum for the plumbing the same day it was completed by email. I was very pleased with Brian's professionalism and eye for detail. He is competitively priced and I was very satisfied with his service. <br />"

"My daughter from NY was buying a home in Sheboygan. She asked me to contact home inspectors. Found them on the internet and had three different people suggest 4-square. I contacted them on a Thursday, and the inspection was scheduled for the following Monday morning. The inspector made all the arrangements to gain entry to the home, and provided a very thorough written report. He pointed out items that needed to repaired/altered prior to the sale, and made many suggestions for maintenance. The inspection took approximately 3 hours."

"The home and water inspections went perfectly. Very thorough and nice, we couldn't have asked for a better experience!!! The Radon test, however, went a little less smooth. They did not bring it the day of the inspection. We scheduled another date for them to drop it off. They did not show up at the scheduled time. We had to call and they came out 2 hours later. We were also unclear as to why they chose to put the test where they did. We thought they were supposed to go in the basement.....?"

FAQs for radon gas testing projects in Sheboygan, WI

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. The gas seeps through cracks in foundations and collects in basements and other low areas. Once you breathe it in, radioactive particles lodge in lung tissue and do long-term damage. Because you can’t see or smell radon, the EPA recommends testing your home every two years—and after major renovations—to keep your family safe.

Yes—every home should be tested. The EPA advises doing it at least every two years and any time you remodel, buy, or sell. On average, one in 15 houses nationwide sits above the recommended limit, and the only way to know where yours stands is a formal test. The equipment simply measures gas levels and won’t change your indoor environment, so the process is completely harmless.

Certified radon professionals—often home inspectors or dedicated radon mitigation contractors—handle testing. These radon testing professionals follow EPA protocols and use calibrated instruments to check levels throughout your house. Hiring a certified radon specialist means results you can trust for real estate deals, insurance requirements, and, most importantly, your family’s health.

Inspectors specialize in measuring radon gas levels, while licensed mitigation contractors design and install the systems that remove it. If your test comes back high, your inspector can point you to a qualified mitigation pro who will size and install the right fan, piping, or other equipment to bring levels down.

No—standard home air purifiers don’t touch radon. They’re built to trap dust and pollen, not radioactive gas. If testing shows high levels, you’ll need a dedicated mitigation system that vents the gas from beneath your home to the outdoors. Relying on a room purifier alone won’t keep your indoor air safe.

Opening a few windows in your home might dilute radon for a short time, but the gas seeps back in as soon as they’re closed. For a lasting fix, you’ll need a professional mitigation system—often a sub-slab depressurization fan—that pulls radon from beneath the foundation and safely vents it outside.
