"The project did over run. It’s a large house, three floorings on one side. It was a big job. They got the job done and everybody said how good it looked. I would recommend them. Their workers were very courteous and polite. They knew what they were doing. The only problem I had which was not their fault, they had an hour and a half driving time each way to my house. That on some days presented few problems. I couldn’t say it’s their fault. It’s quite a distance from my house. On one section, I had had some of the cedar replaced with hardwood plank but they said it had not been done correctly. The manufacturer recommended them. That valued something. I went with that because I had no idea of what the price of a project like this would cost. In terms of responsiveness, I would give them a “B” and that’s probably because of the distance they had to come. I would use their services in the future."

"Preferred roofing & Exteriors messaged me within half hour of messaging them. Fastest of the 3 companies I messaged. Mike showed up, he was professional, very knowledgeable of what was needed to be done. He inspected my attic and roof and found the issue. He did not charge me a service fee like the other two companies were trying to do. Super cool guy. If You were to ever need anything he's your guy. Thanks Mike"

"Let me start by saying that the quote that I got from the Woodshop was the most expensive for the project of remodeling my kitchen, but because the Woodshop had a good reputation based on reviews on Angie’ List, Houzz.com, and word of mouth I made the decision to contract with them for the job. I can’t begin to explain how disappointed I am with the whole experience. In an effort to keep this from becoming too long I will highlight the main areas of concern below: - There were things that I was told prior to signing the contract which ended up being untrue or not honored by the Woodshop, The items were not important to the completion of the job but I feel it is worth mentioning. - There was a definite lack of communication from the Woodshop on important issues such as scheduling, project delays, and problem resolution. - There was also a lack of communication within the Woodshop. There were instances in which staff was not aware of important project details, which in some cases affected materials ordering. In addition, there were scheduling issues that resulted from the lack of communication within the company. - The design for the kitchen contained a flaw in the spacing of the cabinets that would not allow for the dishwasher door to open fully. It would open about two-thirds of the way and then come to rest on the side of the pantry cabinet. I was told it was because the unusual size of the dishwasher door (it’s a GE Profile). This was corrected by cutting back the pantry so now the door opens, but that caused other issues because the counter top installation was meant to be flush with the Pantry… - The cut outs for the built in dishwasher and refrigerator are extremely tight. So tight that dishwasher hose was causing the dishwasher to be installed at an angle and the appliance installer had to replace the rubber insulation with a much thinner version so that the door would close properly. At one point the pressure from the refrigerator actually caused the side panel of the built in to detach leaving a gap in the cabinetry above the fridge and the side panel. I want to note hear that all appliance measurements were given to them months in advance. When I questioned the sizing of the built in I was told that the built-ins are designed to standard sizes, not to the fit of my appliances specifically. This makes me wonder why they needed the specs to the appliances that I purchased? - The finishes were rushed and sloppy. It took several return visits from the woodshop and I still had to hire another contractor to cleanup some of the sloppy work that was done. - To this point there has been a lack of follow up and concern from The Woodshop. There are still issues that I am working to resolve and I am beginning to believe that I am going to have to pay another contractor to complete. This really is just a summary of the bigger pain points experienced with this kitchen remodel. To be fair, my kitchen looks good, some things were done really well. It took some time, but my kitchen functions properly with only minor flaws, but it was a definite struggle to get to this point. One last note; The owner of The Woodshop can be very convincing when he is standing in your partially functioning kitchen asking for final payment. I would recommend that you hold off until you are completely satisfied with the work. My husband and I didn’t."

"They were actually fine. Two days ago, I opened my front door to go out to get the mail and when I opened the door, glass shattered on top of the screen door. It was like a suction. It was like it sucked it in and it broke into a million different pieces. I didn't know what to do so I just called Faerber's Bee Window and they had a guy here within an hour, swept up the glass, vacuumed inside the house, and took the frame out and said that they would order me a new one and come back and install it at no charge. He said it looked like something had hit it, possibly a bird, and the suction on the front door when I went to open it up was what made the glass just go over the place. They were very good. They were extremely personable and they did a great job. I thought the fact that I called them at 4 o'clock in the afternoon and they had somebody here in an hour to clean it up and order me a new one was amazing. They were very good. I was talking to some people and I thought they were a little high, but they did a good job."

"We dealt with the owner, Mark Spencer, directly. The process was virtually seamless from start to finish. It was very reassuring to work with the owner. He knows a ton about windows and home improvements in general (as also a general contractor). He was more interested in finding out what we wanted than selling us on anything in particular. That was a breath of fresh air for sure after looking at some other companies that send sales people to your door. A lot was riding on this purchase, so we were glad to work with someone that knew what they were doing. We decided on his company because of his experience and knowing that the relationship was important to him so he would take care of us. We made a great choice. <br /> During installation his crew was very experienced and professional. I felt comfortable having these guys around the house. I had planned to work from home, but after talking to them a little bit I just left them with my cell number and told them to let me know if they needed anything. My wife was in and out through the whole project. They finished most of the inside of our house on the first day (getting the windows actually installed). They completed the big bow window and the sliding door on the second day and finished up the metal work the next morning. When they were gone you would have never known they had ever been there...other than the brand new windows. They were fantastic! <br /> Our house was built in 1982 and our old windows were our driving source of energy inefficiency. We did online research for almost a year (on and off) and when we got serious we had a couple of companies over. One thing I learned is that a lot of window companies use the exact same manufacturer to build their windows, they just slap their name tag on them (and they can tweak the design...most likely for style...and the prices for the same windows vary like you wouldn't believe). One company in particular was trying to sell us on the foam and metal material used for installation (claiming their stuff was the best). I later found out that Mark's company was using the exact same materials. In the end, I highly recommend Legacy Window & Door. No gimmicks and a great product! <br />"

"The shower in the master bath was a three piece shower with no grab bars and very little area to hold on to. This contractor found out that the upper two (2) sections could be replaced which had some grab bars build into them. Also, he added several extra grab bars for safety. A hand held shower system was also installed in the shower. In doing this work, several sections of drywall had to be replaced due to the blocking which had to be installed for the extra grab bars. Then the bathroom was painted (excellent paint job). The people doing the work were excellent & did the job in a very professional manner. They cleaned up as they went along, so there was minimal cleanup after each day. My wife & I are very pleased with this contractor & how they worked with us to satisfy our needs."

"When I originally called, I explained that I was looking to replace a broken window in my second-floor master bedroom, as my 20-to-25-year-old window had a broken casement window operator. I set up an appointment for an estimate. Three days later, I met with Larry and explained what I needed. My primary concern was making sure that the windows would look markedly the same on the outside due to HOA requirements. Larry went through the options with me. Initially, I was looking to replace just one window. In order to ensure that it matched the other casement window in the room, Larry prepared a quote for another wood casement window. He acknowledged that the price was quite high, and noted that vinyl windows were less expensive and more energy-efficient. The price for two such vinyl windows was actually quite a bit less than one wood window. Larry showed me a sample window, and I decided to order two vinyl windows with wood-grain interior. I was told that it would take four to five weeks for the windows to be installed, given their current timeline. We made a follow-up appointment for tip-to-tip measurements in the coming week, and I had the opportunity to raise additional questions and concerns, which were addressed. <br /> Four and a half weeks later, I was contacted by Premier to set up my installation, which went very well. It took approximately two hours for removal of the old windows and installation of the new windows. The installers were polite and friendly, and did good work. My driveway was the staging area for cutting of the wood interior and screen frames and, afterwards, you could not tell that anyone had been there. The cleanup was impeccable. There were two issues that were brought to my attention by the installers, which Premier had to come back and fix. One of the wood interior pieces which had been pre-stained was found to have a hairline crack. Another unstained piece was installed and they promised to come back and re-stain. The other issue (ironically) was that the new casement window operator was not operational and needed to be replaced. I was asked not to open that window in the interim. The installers told me that they had contacted their manager and that Premier would be contacting me to schedule a follow up where these issues could be corrected. <br /> Monday, five days later, I followed up with Premier by phone and it appears those issues were not in the system for follow-up, so the new crank had not been ordered. I was a little frustrated, but was assured that the cranks arrive quickly once ordered. I was contacted the next week for the follow-up, and the issues were rectified to my satisfaction. In fact, that follow up took only twenty minutes, less than I had been expecting. <br /> Overall, I was very happy with the professionalism of everyone I spoke to and interacted with at Premier. I was a little frustrated that my installation issues had not been recorded in their system, but these things do happen and it shows the importance of following up. The windows look wonderful and block out the ambient traffic noise even better than I had anticipated. I hope to hire Premier again for additional windows in the spring. <br />"
