"All calls and emails were returned quickly and professionally. I could not have asked for faster response times for calls, quotes, etc.. Donna couldn't have been more accommodating. She was right on time, courteous, and professional. If I were to base this review on these factors alone, I would recommend them without question or concern. They've been a vendor of an interior design team that I deal with from time to time who also trust their work and professionalism so I also trust their quality of work. I own 3 homes and a rental property and built or renovated them all. Never have I received this high level or service from a tile and stone vendor. Unfortunately, never have I encountered this level of pricing either. The quoted cost of materials (tile) was almost 75% above retail. Through the same retailer, I can walk in off the street and pay 75% less and if I am a contractor, I'll expect to pay 20% below retail. Additionally, the labor cost quoted was 50% higher than the next highest quote received (I received 4 quotes). I will state once again, none of the 3 other quotes were from companies as professional, punctual, or courteous as DUCA. I recognize the value in that service level and accept that a price premium may go along with it. But not a price premium to the degree that they were asking for. Ultimately I ended up paying 20% below retail for the tile and 40% less for the install. It wasn't as convenient but the savings was so significant, it was worth my trouble. <br />"

We were having a new sink installed and did not think that the granite would need to be cut larger - after the plumber got there and took my old sink out, we discovered the new sink would not fit - I called Great Lakes and they came out that afternoon! (which I really appreciated since I would have had to go without a kitchen sink until they were able to come out!) This company is awesome to work with! <br />"

"From start to finish it was great. We set it all up with Jeff Johnson at the HWC offices which was a very pleasant experience. We felt we were quoted a very fair price for the amount of work we needed done. Although a number of workmen were involved in this 2 1/2 week project, Tom P. oversaw it all as Project Manager and his 2 main guys (Jeff and Jerry) did an outstanding job and were very courteous and pleasant to talk with. The work was completed on schedule and any little fixes were done quickly. The workmanship and quality were excellent, the workers were very careful to protect the rest of our home from dirt and dust, and my wife and I are very happy with the results. "My wife and I wanted new hard woods in our house but had very specific requirements that we could not typically find locally.  My wife wanted a dark floor while I wanted extreme durability in a natural hard wood.  We did our homework and decided that Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) most closely matched what we wanted.  <br /> After looking locally for something that fit the bill, the flooring we found was either over $12 sq/ft (too expensive) or not dark enough.  I started searching on-line and ran across Brazilian Direct.  Their prices seemed reasonable (a bit over $6 sq/ft for what we wanted) and they even had a tinted (dark) version of the floor we liked. <br /> After several weeks of questions and further research, we decided to place an order.  We we worked with a representative named Sannon who helped us every step of the way.  She sent us samples, instructions, guides - everything to make us more comfortable about our eventual order.  Our order came right on schedule and the wood was really beautiful.  After several weeks of the required acclimation we had a local installer put the floor down.  They did an excellent job and we really love our floor.  There was very little waste and in fact we had at least 3 boxes left over. <br /> I highly recommend Brazilian Direct.  We are considering using them again for a deck project we'd like to do in the future. <br />"

"They responded immediately. They supplied countertops, but it took them a long time to finish the work. We had an issue with the dishwasher staying in. They came right out to fix it. We anticipated close to a month for the stone to get cut and so forth, but got it within ten days. The price was only a quarter of what we had anticipated. We got more things done as a result. The workmanship was perfect. We had a little bit of an issue with the follow-up, but they were right out here again to fix it."
