"They showed up immediately to few the site and when the agreement on construction was signed they came out the next day and worked every day until completion. I was extremely happy with the finished project and the workers were polite, and willing to do any alterations. I would be happy to use their services again."

"The extended new wall solved a slope problem where the tree-like shrubs were leaning over into the neighbor's yard. The appearance of the wall and fence is much improved. The contractor's suggestion to put the previous fence's replacement on top of the wall was also very positive. The new wall and fence are much more attractive and stable than the previous. (A minor point: some of the debris from the previous wall was not removed.)"

"Five Star review for Rafael and his team. Tree(s) completely removed in one afternoon with everything hauled off site before they left. His team extremely hard working, obviously very experienced with tall tree removal. They made a very difficult job almost look easy, a wonder to watch from a safe distance below. I highly recommend Brother’s Landscaping and would hire them again for a difficult tree removal project. M Sullivan, Gig Harbor"

"Matt previously replaced two decks and a fence for us.  We wanted him to design and construct a roof under the upper deck that overlooked part of the lower deck that would keep water from draining on that part of the lower deck so that we could grill outside in the rain.  He came up with a very ingenious and original design that was well within our budget.  Using corrugated metal siding fastened under the upper deck that was pitched properly to allow drainage into a gutter that was also installed, Matt very inexpensively and elegantly solved the problem.  Now we have decks that allow water and pine needles to pass through gaps between the composite decking as well a rain cover under the upper deck that allows us to enjoy the deck during the frequent Seattle area rain and drizzle.  Nicely done and very quickly constructed.  Matt is easy to work with and is an imaginative contractor.  I highly recommend him."

FAQs for chain link fence repair or alter projects in Shelton, WA

Installing a concrete reinforcement slab significantly boosts the stability and longevity of your chain link fence. This reinforcement creates a strong foundation that protects the fence from erosion, burrowing animals, and high winds. The installation cost is $4 to $10 per square foot, and this robust base minimizes the need for future repairs while extending the overall lifespan of your fence.

Repairing minor damage such as small holes is far more cost‑effective than replacing significant portions of your chain link fence. Minor repairs cost between $100 and $200, while replacing full sections demands an investment of $1,000 to $2,000. For a fence that is 20 years old or older, having an expert assess it now can prevent repeated repair expenses and secure long‑term durability, thereby safeguarding overall fence performance.

If you'd rather remove your chain link fence than repair or replace it, professionals charge between $3 and $5 per linear foot for the job. There may be additional costs involved if there is extra labor needed, like relocating plants or separating the chain-link fence from other existing structures. This also does not include waste disposal fees.

Chain link fences have an average lifespan of 20 years with regular cleaning and maintenance. They stand out as one of the most affordable and durable fencing options available to homeowners and businesses alike. Chain link fences often last five to 10 years longer than comparable wooden fence installations. Chain-link fences made with a vinyl coating often exceed these estimates, providing even greater longevity and weather resistance.
