Tracy was contacted on Monday and he reviewed the project on Tuesday afternoon.  He and his crew were back on Friday as was agreed.  They were "on time" and demonstrated a thoroughness in their efforts to stretch the carpets in the proper manner and were extremely diligent to install the living room custom edging to our great satisfaction. We are extremely happy with the end results.   We definitely will use their service when we have more flooring needs.

"Set a date and time for service ( actually it was a wet and raining cold day) and I really did not expect service on such a ugly day but DJ was there  and on time and did all work as expected. DJ explained everything to my husband and there were no surprises.

Any question I had for Rob ( the owner) he was easy to reach or returned calls or texts promptly.
I would highly recommend the company to others and I have.

Thanks for your service.

"A kitchen remodel is a major over-haul project.  Gutting the original tile floor prior to replace it with new tile is a long process.  Brewer did their best to maintain a schedule that got us through this inconvenience as effortlessly as possible.  They were very concientious about taping off the areas not being reomodeled to eliminate as much construction dirt as possible.  They were careful not to damage other parts of the kitchen.  The installation went well and the installer did an excellent job and made our new floor look fantastic.  The same person installed the backsplash and it turned out great too.  I have used Brewer previously for a carpet installation, so that is why I called them back for this job.  Once again, I was very pleased with the end results and I would call them back whenever we have additional flooring needs."

"The results were decent, but I can't say they were better than that.  No specific or grievous complaints.  The carpet was good, but past cleanings have left it in better shape, even taking into consideration additional age for this latest cleaning.

"A Huge Thank You to Greg and Ann Beriault and their team at Floor Coverings International of Carmel. Recently we had a flood in our basement and we were in need of replacing the carpet. I think the best part of this whole experience was having them come to our home with all the samples of their products!! We were able to place the samples along side our baseboards, cabinets, paint and furniture while making our selection. So convenient!! Kasey was our salesman. He was courteous and very knowledgeable of their products. He really listened to our needs. He provided an excellent and beautiful product at a great price! Miguel and his team of installers were on time, professional and very clean!!! We were very pleased with the quality of craftsmanship and installation. Again thanks for being there for us!! Floor Coverings International of Carmel did a great job from start to finish and we would highly recommend them❤️"

FAQs for carpet repair, refasten, or stretch projects in Sheridan, IN

Removing a rug costs around $0.40 to $0.50 per square foot. This includes the fee for a contractor to roll up the rug and haul it away in a vehicle for disposal or recycling. If they need to move furniture, they might charge an additional $0.25 to $0.30 per square foot of furniture.

If your carpet has minor damage—like a single area that requires stretching, patching, or cleaning—it might be less expensive to pay for carpet repair than remove and replace it. Repairing carpet costs around $210 per project.

The cost of carpet cleaning is about $190 for a three-bedroom home, so it’s a good idea to have your carpet cleaned at least once a year. But most carpeting only lasts 10 years. If your carpet is nearing the end of its life span, it might be more cost-effective to remove and replace your carpet than to clean and repair it. The average cost to install a new carpet is about $1,800.

Search our directory of carpet removal companies and services to find an affordable, screened contractor near you. All HomeAdvisor listings are vetted, reviewed, and rated by homeowners, so you can be sure to find a local pro qualified for your project. Get at least three quotes to compare prices and the timeline for your project.

Commercial carpet removal usually costs on the lower end of the carpet removal price range, around $1.10 per square foot or even less. Carpet installation contractors often offer discounted rates for larger projects, like commercial carpet removal and installation. Similarly, you might be able to negotiate a lower residential carpet removal cost if the carpet is pulled up throughout your entire home.

Most cities accept old carpets as bulk trash, but you may need to schedule a special pickup and prepare the carpet properly. Remove any nails or glue residue, cut the carpet into manageable pieces, and roll and secure them. Alternatively, you can take your old carpet to a local recycling center for a small fee, where it can be processed and repurposed.

Yes, you can remove carpet yourself if you're ready for a labor-intensive task. DIY carpet removal requires heavy lifting and tools like utility knives, pliers, and pry bars. The process is generally straightforward but time-consuming for stapled-down carpet. If your carpet is glued down or you're worried about damaging the subfloor, hiring a professional is best to ensure the job is done safely and efficiently.
