And when the job was nearly complete Gil realized I'd probably have to call my city's Public Works department and pay to have them haul away the bulky old a/c unit. But then he remembered that there's a place out near where he lives where large discarded stuff can be dropped off and taken to the dump -- he told me not to worry, he'd take care of it for me.
