During the initial visit, his work caused damage to a pocket door in the same wall, leaving visible scratches that were not present before the repair. After the damage was reported, his responsiveness dropped significantly. Messages frequently went unanswered, and it became difficult to get clear replies or timelines. He did return once and patched and sanded the damaged area, but the scratch remained visible and the area was not painted. He stated that if we were not satisfied, he could return to complete additional work. We scheduled a follow-up appointment about a month in advance and reconfirmed multiple times. On the day of the appointment, he did not show up and did not notify us. Messages sent that day went unanswered, and we only reached him later by phone, when he said he had family issues. Because the repair remained incomplete and communication continued to be unreliable, we hired another professional."

"DO NOT USE: We were quoted $6K for a shower kit install. Upon completion of the work, it was immediately apparent that the installation was defective and did not meet acceptable industry standards. Specifically: No water membrane was installed behind the shower kit, rendering the installation non-compliant with waterproofing best practices. No caulking was applied to seal seams, leaving the installation vulnerable to water intrusion and damage. The walls and surrounding trim were not plumb, which made it impossible to install a functioning shower door. A McLendon's supervisor subsequently inspected the installation onsite and acknowledged the poor workmanship. We were informed that the matter would be addressed, but despite multiple follow-up phone calls, we received no further communication or resolution from McLendon's. Nevertheless, the remaining balance of $3,100 was charged to our account without our authorization or consent and without any resolution."
